Dettagli del programma

work for accommodation means that you will complete up to 14 hours of work per week in order to stay at the hostel. we pride ourselves on the community and overall atmosphere of our hostel so being able to work well with others and be a team player is a quality we appreciate. We want our guests to experience a fun and clean environment so most of the work is cleaning jobs that rotate on a roster i.e., one day you might clean the dorms and the next you will be weeding the garden.

Attività e turni

Jobs will vary on the day, so these are brief descriptions of duties:

Yards:
- raking, weeding carpark/gardens
- cutting down fronds/seed pods from the trees
- mowing
- gurney pathways etc.

Dorms:
- empty bins
- sweep + mop
- cleaning rubbish
- wiping down fans/windows

Common areas:
- sweep outside dorms room, fire pit, dining area
- blower outside common room
- pick up rubbish/dishes left over from the night before and bring them to the kitchen
- wipe down tables
- sweep/mop inside common room.
- general tidy

Kitchens: night and day
- disinfecting all surfaces/shelves
- clean and put away dishes
- disinfect sink
- clean toaster, toaster tray and microwave
- sweep and mop
- empty bins, replace bags, do the recycling

Bathroom/Laundry:
- Sweep + mop
- empty bins
- disinfect all surfaces
- replace soap, toilet paper etc.

EXTRAS:
- laundry and miscellaneous jobs
