My experience at the hostel truly changed my life. Randall, Gerardo, Flori, Yami, Tony, Tati, and everyone else at the hostel became a family to me. I had the honor of painting wall murals for them and sharing my creativity in ways I had only dreamed of. I felt loved, appreciated, and supported every day I spent at this hostel. I loved getting to practice my spanish and meet people from all over the world! I cannot wait to come back one day and visit this incredible family again. Muchas gracias por todo y pura vida para siempre! 🦋❤️

Estuve un mes en el hostel y fue como estar en mi propia casa. El ambiente es muy familiar y acogedor. Las tareas de recepción y limpieza son sencillas y no quitan demasiado tiempo. Son flexibles con los horarios y los días de trabajo para que el voluntario pueda disfrutar y conocer Costa Rica y te aconsejan que visitar, que hacer y como llegar a los sitios. Ahora sé que tengo una familia en Costa Rica! Gracias Randall, Gerardo, Flori y Yami♥️

My time at the hostel has been one of the most unforgettable experiences during my stay in Costa Rica. Everyone in this little family at the hostel was incredibly kind to me. From the very first day I arrived, they cared about how I was adjusting to life here and checked in on me every day. Here, I learned from Randall's dedicated attitude toward work — he took great care of me and gave me many helpful suggestions. Geraldo was always patient with me and taught me a lot of "useful " Spanish. Flori's warm smile and amazing cooking made me look forward to every single day. PURAVIDAAA:)

I can not describe it well enough in words, but i will try. I felt very welcomed from the first minute I arrived. The next 2 month working there were a lot of fun, they took much time to explaine me everything and were very patient with the mistakes I made. Its also a very clean place, they clean everyday and in general they try their best for you to have the best expierience. I can only recommend this place to you so much, you will also have an awesome time. And dont be afraid that its located in Alajuela, you will be able to explore costa rica perfectly. Thank you very much!<3

This was my first time using world packers and traveling solo to another country and I am beyond grateful for the hostel to be my first experience! This hostel is family run and when you work for them they treat you like you are a part of the family.Each person there has a unique skillset and thing that they can teach you.This was also my first time being a hostel receptionist and they were very patient with the mistakes that I made.I loved it so much that I will be returning again very soon. Durante mi tiempo en el hostel me sentí en casa las personas que manejan el Hostel le tienen mucho cariño y se nota al igual que se nota el compromiso con el sistema de voluntariado fueron muy amables conmigo todo el tiempo me ayudaron a conocer los alrededores y fueron flexibles en los tiempos para que viajará un poco más lejos me fui muy contenta a mi siguiente destino y con la sensación de nuevos amigos 💚

5 Estrellas es muy poco para tan maravilloso lugar, merecen 10! Desde que llegué me recibieron como un miembro más de la familia,lo cual me hizo abandonar el temor de mi primer voluntariado. Cada miembro del equipo se mostró siempre amable, buena onda y dispuesto a ayudarte. Las tareas son realmente sencillas y no requieren mayor esfuerzo. Es la puerta ideal para conocer Costa Rica. Definitivamente es un lugar increíble!!

El hostel es un maravilloso lugar para llegar a Costa Rica. Ha sido una opción estupenda para ser mi primer voluntariado. Es un hostal muy acogedor y tranquilo y toda la familia te trata como a uno más, me he sentido muy a gusto en todo momento. Las tareas son sencillas, se explican adecuadamente y además se ofrece cierta flexibilidad para poder visitar lugares cercanos. Se ofrecen también las comidas y se dan facilidades en cualquier asunto que pueda surgir. Lo recomiendo totalmente.

My experience volunteering at this hostel was awesome for it being my nerve racking first time participating in one. I totally recommend trying this volunteer opportunity with them if you are wanting to start small steps towards growth in your personal development as an individual and work wise. I had very little knowledge in working, a bit introverted and learnt a lot in the end. They treated me warmly, with care and made feel like part of the family. I am really grateful for all I learnt with this team and got to help out in their hostel. Much love to all of you. May we meet again.
