Volunteering at the hostel was such an amazing experience - the atmosphere is perfect to make life long friendships with the guests and staff from their sister hostels. They throw great parties, movie nights and live music, but it is also a very chill place perfect for quiet reading, swimming in the river etc. Kampot is a lovely place and there's plenty to do on your day off. I would really recommend this to everyone whether you're more of a party person or a relaxed person. I didn't want to leave and I'm definitely planning on coming back!

Amazing experience of 3 weeks in the hostel. The job and tasks are really easy and the staff never let you alone on a shift. When I was there, it was really quiet. It's a real simple, authentic and chill place, perfect to have a break during your travel. After few days, i really felt home and spent a really good time. The shared bedroom is basic but you'll have a queen size bed and bathrooms are outside (same than clients). I really enjoyed to take my cold shower with frogs all around 🙃 I will keep good memories and hopefully get back there in the future 🫶🏻

I spent 2 really cool weeks. I think it's the perfect place to take a break from your trip. It's super sociable, the setting is crazy (I loved to watch the sunsets every night on the river). The vibe is super chill, there's no hassle. Well, the accommodation wasn't incredible and the cleanliness needed a bit of work, but you quickly feel at home. The food was delicious. The work required was really simple, you quickly learn to master the software and I loved being able to learn how to make coffee, smoothies and cocktail. In short, I really enjoyed my volunteering at the hostel 😊

A simple and chill place to relax. It is a lot of hours but can be almost no work at times. Depends on how busy it is. The property is extremely simple and you will definitely need to be comfortable with beeing close to nature.

Yellowsun is a great worldpackers experience. Everyone is welcoming and friendly, and they allow you to be independent in learning the role, while ensuring that there is always someone available for help and support. You really feel like you become part of the family. The work, although overwhelming at first, is really easy and allows you to work with local staff as well as meet people from all walks of life internationally. The room is very basic, but soon becomes home. It's a great, tranquil area on the river with great food and great people.

Working at the hostel has been an amazing experience for me! I've never worked at a bar before but Tak, Rin and the other volunteers made me feel welcomed and allowed me to have a safe space to learn new things and grow. This work exchange is perfect for you if you like to immerse yourself in local culture, have amazing food everyday and explore cambodias countryside. It has been the perfect opportunity to talk to lots of travelers before I started my solo-travelling journey. 10/10 can really recommend!

The hostel is an amazing place to work for a while. Super nice local staff that likes to talk a lot and they make really good food! Felt welcome from day one and met a lot of other volunteers that were super nice. Really great experience, thanks for that!

I spent two weeks at the hostel and loved it! It's a great opportunity to meet some friendly locals, enjoy nature and relax and unwind in one of the most beautiful riversides in the world. The food is top notch and accommodation has queen sized mattresses! My favorite volunteering experience so far

I really enjoyed volunteering at the hostel. Since I was there during the low season, there weren't many guests, which allowed me to have some time to myself and enjoy the nature around me. If you're looking for a more social atmosphere, I'd recommend coming during the high season when there are more backpackers around. The staff is really friendly as well. One thing to note is that when I worked the morning shift from 8 am to 2 pm, I found I didn't have a lot of time left in the day to go out and do much, as it gets dark around 6 pm. But overall, the work itself is super chill.

I had a really relaxed time there i came during off season so there was barely something to do. i loved the vibe and people are really nice. the only minus for me would be the sleeping situation as it wasnt really clean. otherwise great experience, good food!! Thanks alot johnny!!!
