What an amazing experience volunteering with the home was! Her children lam and luc are so lovely and full of life and energy! They always want to play, usually football. You don't work many hours so you have lots of time to explore Milan, and travel to other places in Italy on days off! The hostel you stay at has lovely staff who make you feel welcome. I would definitely recommended this to any traveller ! :)

Volunteering with the home has been a wonderful experience! Her children Luchino and Lamberto are incredibly energetic and excitable children! My time with Lamberto has been wonderful. The hours give you plenty of time to explore the city, working with the boys will be rewarding, and all of the hostel staff are very welcoming.

I absolutely loved my time in Milano with the home and her family! They are so kind and welcoming and I couldn't have asked for a better first worldpackers experience. The hostel you stay in is very cozy and the staff are incredible people (this place is wonderful if you like music) It's also very close to the city center. The hours make for plenty of time to explore Milano and the surrounding cities. I had so much fun getting to know Lamberto and Luchino while doing homework and playing (they are both incredible football players) I am so grateful to have met them!

My time with the home's family was so wonderful and their sons are so sweet ! I was paired with the oldest boy, Lucie. We did homework, played and talked together in English. the home and Claudio were great hosts!! The hours allowed for lots of time to explore Milano and towns close by in days off. The hostel is located close to the necessities and a quick metro to the city center. The staff at the hostel are super welcoming and kind, as well as it's a great place to meet travellers from all over the world. I stayed in a 6 bed female dorm with an ensuite bathroom. I would definitely recommend :)

The home and Claudio were wonderful hosts! Any problems I had they were eager to help. The hostel is great fun and an amazing opportunity to meet people from different cultures. Both Lucie and Lamberto (my new little Italian brothers!) were good fun and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them. This program is perfect for a native speaker looking to explore the north of Italy while gaining experience in assisting in English to non-native speaker in a homely environment

The home and her children are the kindest people ever. Unfortunately, my time in Milan had to be cut short due to some personal matters. the home was the most understanding and caring person about my situation. The hostel that you stay in is a little isolated from city center but it is a quick and easy journey to take the metro. The work is easy and honestly fun. I was paired with the younger boy and we read, talked, and played together in English. I had a good experience with the family.

I had a good experience with the home and her 3 children!☺️ The hours are very manageable, the home was kind to give me a schedule for about 2 weeks in advance which was very helpful for planning & using my time off. The hostel where I stayed was an easy 10 minute walk from their home and has cafes, shops, bars & restaurants along the way. The hostel isn't the fanciest, but I immersed myself into socialising with staff and guests which made my time here extremely enjoyable, and I made lifelong friends there. 💛 Overall, I would recommend! The home and Claudio are welcoming, and the Hostel is located in a great area of Milan by the Loreto metro stop. The accommodation is a shared room with 6 beds total. The other volunteers are warm and inclusive, and you can see the real community built among the long-term volunteers and employees! Daily tasks involve assisting the children with reading and spelling homework. Although managing occasional physical fights among the boys was challenging, the home was always accessible via WhatsApp for support, and work hours were flexible.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and introduction to the world of volunteering as a workstay. the home, Claudio, and the Koala Hostel team are very friendly and welcoming. The boys, Luchino and Lamberto, have a great understanding of English and need very little correction. They also love to play games and will crush you in football! Accommodations are tucked in a nice corner of Milano where you can meet people from every corner of the world. Ask specific questions for guidance and recommendations. Enjoy Milano and explore surrounding areas with your flexible schedule.

It was a great experience to work with the boy. the home is really nice and helpful. I got plenty time to explore Milan and cities nearby, also I met many travellers during the stay. The facility to stay is clean and warm in winter with a great location.
