My time at the guest house was a very special time! The volunteers are treated very well and are made to feel at home. Nick is a great manager and is very good to the volunteers. If you need to learn anything new or you make a mistake he will always be there to help. The environment at the guest house is very social and warm which means that you will meet lots of new people and experience the amazing culture of Italy! the guest house is located in a truly beautiful place which makes you feel lucky to be there. Overall, I would always recommend the guest house to any volunteer or guest for a memorable,charming experience

Amazing experience and I recommend 100% percent. It's a safe space and the manager makes you feel confortable if you have any problem, he'll always try to help. The work is not hard to do and you have the rest of the day to yourself. The volunteers have been amazing and the guest house has a great community. I feel very lucky of this experience. It's the perfect place to relax and get to know people from everywhere in the world.

Recomiendo altamente realizar este voluntariado. Un hermoso lugar para conocer viajeros del todo el mundo y poder conocer la Toscana. Nico, el manager del hotel, es súper buena onda, siempre esta dispuesto a escuchar y a ofrecer una experiencia totalmente positiva a los voluntarios. Estuve realizando la limpieza del hostel, que no es muy dura de hacer, depende mucho de los huéspedes que se queden, pero incluso los días más atareados fueron muy buenos. Experiencia enriquecedora

Ter voluntariado na guest house foi uma das experiências mais complexas e completas da minha vida! Conheci pessoas incríveis, aprendi idiomas e toda experiência de ser staff em um hostel. Porém, tenho algumas questões sobre o voluntáriado em si, pois está mais para um trabalho do que um voluntariado. Eu em vez de trabalhar 3h por dia, trabalhava 6h. Além das horas extras que faziamos em eventos e qualquer problema que algum hóspede tinha, pois o lugar não tem funcionário além do gerente (que quase nunca está). Eles eram muito rígidos com horário e qualquer deslize ameaçavam de te mandar embora

Hope youre doing great, thanks for your message & I think I wasn't very clear at first with your role in Bassetto and I apologize for that.

So basically you weren't really a volunteer since you worked at the reception shift and earned like €‎350 a month. but Im quite confused cause I talked to you if you wanted to change to house keeping as they work less than three hours per day but you really wanted to stay at the reception.

We never push people to do something that they don’t want to.

Bassetto tasks are super easy and volunteers that have been working here know that.

About events there is all the info in our profile, those are extra hours where you will get paid and you’re totally free to choose if you want to participate or not.

The guest house is charming & situated in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. You can walk the vineyards with the dogs & lounge by the pool after work. The other volunteers became great friends! Despite its beauty, I can't confidently recommend this experience, as the manager was incredibly sexist & demeaning. I left a few days early because I could not bear it any longer. The manager was never there, meaning we had to deal with any of the guests' issues even after our set hours. He was terrible at communicating & did not create a welcoming environment. If he wasn't the manager I would recommend this.

Thanks for your message, so basically I have had more than 15 volunteers in the last two years, most of them have been women and you are the first person to say that, there must be a reason, don't you think? You are a person who has no respect for the volunteers and even for the manager.

Im not the kind of person who likes to talk bad about people so I would just say the truth, even volunteers came to me to talk about your bad behaviour and treatment. when I talked to you once, then you said fuck you to me and then you started crying and going around the garden for not any reason as I was talking to you in such a normal way then a volunteer had to go to look at for you & after a few minutes you came back to the reception & told me that sorry about it cause you were stressed and with personal problems. I did try it to understand you but then in the next coming days you kept with that negative way to express yourself, arrogant and superior behavior of not listening to people cause you think you know everything, I started to feel uncomfortable in my own workplace and this never happened to me before. I'm really glad you left because is not healthy to have that kind of negative energy around Bassetto, staff and me.

Just taking a look on your profile all of the hostels that you’ve been working to no one has writing down a review either me, cause I'm not interested in ruining your profile by just telling the truth about your behavior, life is too beautiful to be with that kind of hate and unhappiness within yourself.

Your private comment that no one can read and the public message says a lot about the kind of person you are.

I also hope with the passage of time, life will teach you to be a good person, to speak respectfully to people, listen to them & express yourself in a positive way.
