Me la pasé muy bien! 👍 Yoshi y el equipo fueron súper amables y cálidos, siempre con una sonrisa y ayudándome con dudas. La comida muy rica y también me agradó que hubieran perritas por toda la Hacienda paseando 😍 En cuanto a redes sociales debes ser muy proactivo para hallar cosas por hacer, porque la mayor parte del tiempo la Hacienda está súper tranquila. En todo momento Yoshi me dio libertad de ir y venir al pueblo a Ciudad de México, no tuve un horario ni restricciones, solamente cumplí con ayudarle en la página web y fotos 😎 ¡Conecté con la naturaleza y encontré paz!

If you're going to do social media here just know there won't be much to do and you are going to spend most of your time alone. Internet is only available in certain areas, bring books to read or something!! The staff was very nice but they all had their own things to do and I really didn't so I was alone and barely spoke to anyone all day. Also I wasn't made aware before hand that they don't provide food on the weekends! I managed to get some when there was extras from events though.

Hi Jorja, I am sorry if you were not really entertained here. As I try to stress to the volunteers, we are in a very remote area of Mexico, with limited internet, and no real nightlife to speak of. Unfortunately, we are also busy with work as you stated. For this reason, we do ask that volunteers take initiative and try to make the most of nature and the surrounding towns on weekends. I do wish we had had more volunteers to hang out with because that definitely affects things.

As for the meals on weekends. Normally the volunteers are not expected for those meals because they have those days off and can go into town or check out other surrounding areas. On the days where you are working (which sometimes is on weekends) of course, we offer the lunch. This is also all in the volunteer guide that I sent you.

Ser voluntaria en el hotel ha sido una experiencia muy grata porqué el equipo del staff con el que convives es muy amable, servicial y de gran corazón. Estarás rodeado/a de amplias áreas verdes, edificaciones rústicas del siglo XVI, lindos animales como perritos o caballos que llenarán tus días de muchas paz y alegría para desarrollar tu rol como voluntaria de forma inspiradora y tranquila. Tendrás la oportunidad de proponer tus ideas con total libertad para apoyar a visibilizar el emprendimiento. Gracias por todo! Los extrañaré!

Recomiendo totalmente el hotel para voluntariado... es un lugar hermoso, los anfitriones son personas maravillosas, fue una experiencia gratificante y de mucho aprendizaje 🥰

¡Fue increíble! La Hacienda es enorme y preciosa (al igual que los alrededores), ideal para relajarse, entrar en contacto con la naturaleza y los animales. Joshua es un gran anfitrión, atento, flexible y divertido. Además, pude convivir con el resto del personal que trabaja en el lugar y debo decir que son personas lindísimas, te harán sentir como en casa. En general, es una experiencia que recomiendo ampliamente si eres una persona que disfruta de ambientes tranquilos y climas fríos. Fue un gusto contribuir en este maravilloso proyecto.

Hey fellow World Packers! I just thoroughly enjoyed a month long visit to the hotel! I helped to bring the main garden back to life and also helped to improve upon the kitchenette and break room for the volunteers by cleaning and painting. The Hacienda itself is vast and stunning....plenty of places to go off with a book,meditate or do some yoga. There is also a farmers market practically in the back in the backyard every Wednesday where one can get fresh fruit and veggies as well as eggs and grains. for 14 pesos you can grab a bus right out front to the actual town of San Fellipe.
