La experiencia aquí fue maravillosa, tanto que hemos decidido quedarnos un tiempo extra. Dani y su familia nos recibieron con calidez y entusiasmo, siempre dispuestos a ayudarnos y hacernos sentir en casa. El trabajo y los horarios son flexibles, y la zona está llena de lugares naturales hermosos para visitar en los tiempos libres. Estoy muy agradecida con la experiencia, con ganas de no irme nunca 🫶🏽☀️

I enjoyed my time at the lodge! Danilo and his wife are so kind and welcoming, they truly treat you like family. Danilo is incredibly flexible about working hours and the tasks that volunteers complete, ours ranged from cleaning the community building to taking photos at the local beach.

Danilo was a great host to me and my boyfriend - really accommodating and always responsive if we needed anything. We really enjoyed our day of painting benches for the beach with some of the local community. There is also the La Perica Sloth Garden around the corner where we had an amazing experience and saw 11 sloths! Danilo provided us with bikes the whole time of our stay, where you can cycle to a couple of the local beaches that are amazing. Thanks Danilo!

We had a wonderful experience staying with Danilo. He was very welcoming and accommodating and was always on hand if we needed anything. We had use of the bikes each day to explore the local area and ride down to the beach which was great! The highlight for us was when we got to spend the day with the local community building and painting some benches for the beach. This was a great opportunity to practise our Spanish and meet some of the locals. La Perica Sloth Garden is also right around the corner (5 mins by bike) if you want to see some sloths in the wild. We saw 11!

Des del primer momento Danilo y Cielo fueron encantadores. Se entregaron en todo para ayudarnos y hacernos sentirnos como en casa. Des de recibirnos en la parada del bus, mostrarnos el pueblo y aconsejarnos en todo. Nos vamos dejando atras mas que unos amigos. Las tareas son entretenidas y super flexibles. Creemos que es el mejor sitio que podriamos haber llegado en Costa Rica.

Esta experiencia es increíble si quieres conocer un pueblo tranquilo y muy bonito y un anfitrión que te abrirá las puertas de su casa como si fuese la tuya. Solo tenemos palabras de agradecimiento para Danilo y Cielo. Esperamos volver a vernos algún día!

Our experience with Danilo and Consuelo has been great! They are really welcoming and they make you feel at home from the first moment. They really care about creating a genuine connection and try to find ways to let you integrate in the local community. Danilo is very flexible with the working hours and he will try to cater to your personal skills. He will also lend you some bikes, very useful to get to the beach in just 10 minutes. The accomodation for the volunteers is very basic (we were the first ones to use it and we believe it's a work in progress) but there is everything you need!

Haber podido tener la oportunidad de haber ido a las el alojamiento fue hermoso. Es un lugar bellísimo… Con Danilo pudimos compartir muchos momentos divertidos, disfrutamos un montón y fue una experiencia que llevaremos siempre en nuestro corazón ❤️
