My experience at the project was simply perfect! The space is wonderful and the people are very welcoming and kind. I learned a lot by being there, practicing meditations, attending classes and meeting people from all over the world. The tasks and schedules were exactly as agreed. I highly recommend that one day everyone can have this experience. I will definitely be back! :)

It was the best experience I've had traveling so far. The place is incredible, the people who live and work in the project are kind and respectful. The group of volunteers who were with me contributed even more to this experience. Initially, I would stay for 2 weeks but I ended up staying for 4. I would like to especially thank Hércules for being helpful not only to me but to everyone who comes close to him and to Carlos from Art Studio, with whom I spent the most time working and who was very patient and friendly. To everyone else, my most sincere thanks.

This was my first experience with volunteering and, without a doubt, it was the best choice to start with the project. I learned a lot in many ways. Gratitude to the entire team, especially to Suzan, an incredibly kind person. The place is very special, and I would definitely return.

This is one of the best places I've ever been in my life, the people, the energy, the castle, all is amazing. This was my first volunteer and I completely recommend it, the task are clear, the food is amazing and even I'm not a budisth, I learn so much about it.

Mi experiencia en el proyeto ha sido notable, las instalaciones son amplias y desde mantenimiento me senti acompañado, apoyado y feliz, susana es una persona maravillosa y la comida vegetariana es muy deliciosa, las amistades inolvidable, lo recomiendo.

Eu fiquei muito surpresa positivamente com essa experiência. Pratiquei muito inglês e fiz amizades que vou levar para a vida! Prós (mas eu poderia citar muitos outros mas não cabe rs): - Quartos grandes, camas que têm "cortininhas" para termos mais privacidade - Wifi de boa qualidade - Muitos banheiros e você dificilmente vai ficar esperando alguém para usar - Pessoas daqui da Inglaterra e outras de várias nacionalidades (Brasil, China, Colômbia, México, República Checa, Hungria...) - Todos sempre muito gentis - O centro fica a 40min andando (tem karaoke,bares)

This was a great experience as a Volunteer. This is a beautiful place to stay in and and very peaceful and enjoyable environment to work in. I loved being part of the Cafe team and learning about Buddhism. I could meditate and have fun with all the volunteers. I want to thank Hercules and the Cafe Managers for being so kind and also being willing to help. I loved being in the café. I really recommend this place to volunteer and connect with yourself and with other nationalities. The food was good and the events at the temple were really interesting and different. Hope to come back. Thanks.

KMC is perfect! welcoming and well organised. Permanent residents are unique, they radiate contagious Peace and Joy! I spent fantastic 6 weeks in the art studio. The supervisors are kind and patient, you always get sincere smiles from them as well as a lot of respect for your work and schedules, they even facilitate you to attend the project programs after lunch. If you haven't meditated before, it's the perfect place to start, as was the case for me. Magnificent priory surrounded by beautiful vast nature with many trails around. 100% recommended guys!, I plan to return!

I think the only indicator I can show of how much this experience changed my life and how monumentally incredible I found it, is that I've rewritten my review 6 times and read over at the end saying ahh this doesn't give it enough credit; no words can summarise 'the project Experience', all I can say to people reading this is, there is no debate for if you should go, just book it right now. It surpassed all my expectations in every way and I can't speak for how you would find it, but all the friends I made arrived with a different background and approach; the majority extended their stay. x
