The hostel is a super cozy house in the residential area, well located for surfing spots. Since the first moment, I was respected and supported by Ezequiel, who was always looking forward to help and explain the ins and outs. I had one of the best experiences of my life, especially because of the relationships I could forge. It's hard to believe how you can get lost in the life of the hostel, jumping from jamming sessions to long chats with travellers, shared dinners and spontaneous parties. It's always original and that's why I believe life is better at GSH

GSH es un abrazo al alma, un safe place para ser tú mismo. La casa es cómoda, bella, con energía única y rodeada de naturaleza. Mucha gente de todas partes del mundo, perfecto para practicar idiomas y conocer un montón. Eze es una persona increíble y te hace sentir en casa, te ayuda si necesitas y está abierto a sugerencias. Organiza muy bien el trabajo y cuida que hagamos las tareas de la mejor forma posible. Lo mejor: tuve la fortuna de coincidir con gente maravillosa y conectar de una forma muy especial. Decir gracias se queda corto para lo que viví aquí. El único riesgo es no querer irte😂

I had an amazing time in the hostel and met awesome people from all over the globe! It was a great opportunity to practice spanish as well, everyone helped me a lot! The hostel location is very good and with the bicycle you can go everywhere very easily. The staff room is very organized and comfy and the breakfast is perfect with everything you need! The manager, Ezequiel, is demanding so that the hostel works in the best possible way, but also is a very funny person, with a big heart and always open to hear new ideas! Also, the staff was perfect and I made friends for life, gracias Gijón💖

Leaving this place was like leaving the lover. I cannot describe the gratitude i feel. Absolutely life changing experience and the best job in the world. I was staying as a social media manager, it was very exiting and interesting to do surf content for the hostel. I've made the greatest connections with people all over the planet, learned how to surf and paddle-board, saw some breath taking views. The manager (Eze) was great, I enjoyed every work meeting we had and best vegan burgers afterwards😁 People here are living at the highest vibrations, you feel like among your soul family.

Gijón superó mis expectativas y se quedó con un pedacito de mi 💙. Conocí personitas hermosas, más que nada una familia. Aprendí un montón, perdí algunos miedos y comí comidas del mundo. Gijón es hermoso, las cercanías del hostel llenas de naturaleza.. sin palabras. Las tareas y horarios están súper claras y bien explicadas. Eze súper atento a todo para lo que sea. Nada que se pueda poner en palabra, así que a vivirlo! GRACIAS 💛

This was an AMAZING experience. I was suppose to stay for a month but extended twice and stayed for almost 7 weeks. This hostel felt like home for me. I was able to surf, explore the night life, go to different beaches, paddle board, meet new people, make new friends, engage in deep conversations, and have an overall amazing time. The manager Ezequiel is amazing and has a heart of gold. He always made sure we all were comfortable and enjoying the volunteer experience. If there was a problem, he always solved it immediately. Special shout-out to Gabriela, Ezequiel, Sabinka, Maryna, and Meche.

GSH is a magic place, with such good vibes and beautiful people. There I could improved my English having fun, learnt about others cultures, people and myself. Once you get there, you never want to leave the hostel.

My stay at the hostel was truly an unforgettable experience! I had the pleasure to work with an amazing team of people that felt like family by the end of my stay. The manager of the hostel is very kind and always tries to ensure that everyone feels comfortable. You get a lot of benefits such as free surf lessons, yoga classes, bikes etc. The work can be challenging at times but in the end it's all worth it when you're surrounded by the right people. I can recommend this experience for everyone who wants to meet travelers from all over the world, surf and practice languages!

Una experiencia increíble, repetiría sin dudarlo dos veces. Gracias a esto he podido aprender y disfrutar tanto de mi misma como de cada personica que se me ha cruzado en este camino, que me han sumado y me han abierto ventanas a sitios que no conocía. A pesar de que el mes de agosto a sido una locura, solo puedo decir gracias y mil gracias por todo. Un pasito adelante rodeada de la mejor compañía 😘🙃🧡

I had a excellent time at the hostel, the house is a lovely place to be in, and gijón and asturias in general is one of my favourite places in spain. there are nice beaches like 25 mins away, and a bit longer to the centre of the city, very nice to go by bike. The best part was all the other volunteers, who were so great, I had so much fun and met so many beautiful people. I would recommend 10/10. 💛💛
