Welcome to Kid Star school, located in the heart of Nyalenda, one of Kisumu's informal slum areas. We are dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment for over 150 children who call this community home.
Our mission is to empower these young minds with the tools and knowledge they need to create a brighter future for themselves and the community,

Types of Tasks for Volunteers

We have a variety of roles available to match your skills and interests, including:

Teaching: Volunteer teachers will help in classrooms, assisting with lesson planning, conducting classes, and providing one-on-one support to students who need extra help. Your involvement will be vital in sparking a love for learning and helping children achieve their academic goals.

Handyman Services: We need handy individuals to assist with maintenance and improvements around the school. This can include repairing furniture, painting classrooms, fixing playground equipment, and ensuring that the school environment is safe and conducive to learning.

General Support: If you have other skills or simply a desire to help, there are always ways you can contribute. This might include organizing activities, assisting with administration.
