My time at GV has been brilliant! The work was easy and relaxed, everyone supporting each other as a great team. Belfast is such a lively and interesting place. I have especially enjoyed being close to the Botanic Gardens, and of course our constant pub crawls! The hostel is very social and it's been great to meet so many people. The staff are so friendly and supportive, always going the extra mile which I have really appreciated. I've been so lucky to work with amazing volunteers who I have become good friends with. I will miss GV very much and am so thankful for this fun summer experience ❤️

Volunteering at the hostel was a 10 star experience. The work was fun, the hours were reasonable, and the manager is so kind and helpful. I loved meeting lots of backpackers and I had plenty of time to explore the area so this was the best possible way to experience Belfast!

I had the most amazing time at GV! Everyone was super welcoming and we all became family. The work was super chill and allowed heaps of time to explore belfast and do day trips. Belfast itself is a great city with heaps to do, will definitely be back!! 🫶

The hostel has been so amazing! The cleaning shifts are never very long and the reception shifts are very relaxed. Met some amazing people while I was here :D would definitely recommend

This was the most amazing experience. The family that we formed was so special and I will never forget it. Will definitely be catching up with everyone again! The hostel is lovely and homey and the facilities are great. The hostels atmosphere is fun and inviting and there's always a pub crawl! Couldn't recommend it more!

Honestly what an amazing experience. First time volunteering at a hostel and it did not disappoint. GV became a second home for me, I was supposed to stay 3 weeks and ended up staying nearly a month a half. The shifts are really chill, and you get to meet the most amazing people, I can't recommend coming here enough, you'll have a blast I promise. Gonna miss this place 🥲❤️

I had an awesome time at the hostel! Mark and Colette were lovely and the other volunteers welcomed me into the GV family from day 1. The work was straightforward and allowed me to still have time to go and explore Belfast. GV will always be a special place that I have many fond memories from. The hostel is a great place to meet other backpackers. Overall it was a great first Worldpacker's experience and I'm super glad I did it!

Had the best experience here at GV Belfast! Everyone was so lovely, helpful and welcoming, make it really easy to settle in :) The tasks were so fun and manageable, and it wasn't hard at all, given that it's my first time volunteering at a hostel!
