Dettagli del programma

Our volunteers help us out in a few different areas around the hostel, working approximately 25 hours a week in exchange for bed & breakfast - and an incredible experience, living in the center of our beautiful city with likeminded travelers!

It is in incredibly important that you are a hardworking, fun-loving and friendly person. You are the face of our hostel, both inside the hostel and on the street. So, we would love to hire people that get along with everyone, do not cause trouble, take pride in their work and are comfortable with constructive criticism.

Our volunteer team spend much of their time relaxing in the living room, taking trips to the beach, or exploring the city. For your time here the hostel is your home so we expect you to treat it like your home. The volunteer team often cook together in the evening or share a drink on our terrace or at our bar around the corner!

Attività e turni

Housekeeping is the main part that we expect new volunteers to participate in. This position consists of essentially top to bottom cleaning of our dorms and private rooms: Including making beds and cleaning bathrooms, communal spaces like kitchen and hallways.
Other tasks such as moving/rearranging furniture, helping with delivered goods or giving us a hand fixing something can be part of the weekly routine.

The timeframe for our housekeeping volunteers is from 11:00 until 16:00 (5 shifts a week). Depending on how busy we are task will be done individually or split up in teams by our managers.

It's important to understand that housekeeping is physically demanding, we do our best to make it as easy as possible even on the busier days. Think of it as saving on a gym subscription! :)

Regole

We understand that you are all social people but ask that your social lives do not interfere with your commitment to us. We expect you to be at work when you are scheduled and if you do spend the whole night out partying (come on, it’s gonna happen! :p), we do not want it to impact on your duties for the day.
Similarly, we ask that if you are currently studying you make sure that you are still able to commit to our shift times and schedule.

Most importantly we require our volunteers to be team players and to always show respect for other volunteers, our staff and our guests.

Basically, come to work with energy and a positive attitude and we will all be happy!
