L'esperienza

After a long search for a life in nature, away from the bustling city, we found ourselves in an untouched village on the outskirts of İzmit named Fethiye. Since 2016, our farm has been growing with agricultural production and related projects. We produce vegetables, fruits, microgreens, farm animals, preserves, pickles, eggs, seedlings, saplings, and potted plants appropriate to organic agriculture regulations.

Dettagli del programma

Volunteers usually work with us in the field, greenhouses, or depo. We have a variety of tasks, so you won't be doing the same thing for weeks :) Though, it may take some time for you to be assigned to sophisticated tasks. If you are looking for organic farming and trying to improve your skills on daily farming tasks it is a place for you. If you join me in your free time you can even learn some extra skills :) Cultural exchange is not our main motivation but you will have plenty of time to spend with locals and volunteers from all around the world.

Attività e turni

Our volunteers work 5 hours (08:00-13:00) in a day and 5 days a week. In addition to that, if volunteers are planning to spend their weekends on the farm they are also responsible for taking care (feeding, watering, and releasing) of the animals on weekends (it is 30 mins works, two times a day).

Regole

When you arrived at the volunteer house there are some further instructions for you to read. It will help you to adapt to the environment and daily tasks. Especially cleaning and tidiness are what we care about most.
