Have the best summer ever at our hostel in Greece!

I strongly advise against volunteering at the hostel. During my time there, I and other volunteers encountered a serious bed bug problem that was not disclosed by the host prior to me arriving in Greece. I found out when I arrived to athens that another volunteers stay was cancelled because she “spent too much time in athens”. To my surprise, the host blackmailed me for a good review just as long as I don't inform paying guests about the bedbug problem. Several volunteers including myself, decided to leave early due to the poor living conditions and the host's manipulative behaviour.

Overall the experience was positive, with light chores and plenty of free time. Miltos encouraged us to enjoy ourselves, which I valued. However, when bed bugs appeared, I felt uneasy with how it was managed and did not see effective steps to resolve it. While I know the bugs were not the host's fault, clearer communication, responsibility, and stronger measures would help future volunteers and guests feel safer and more comfortable.

I received only positive reviews after you left. The only difference since then is that you and Joe were no longer here. THINK ABOUT IT.
Next year schedule
9-1 and for other volunteer 4-8, reception after tasks are completed.
If future volunteers have concerns, I will refer them to you. You had light duties, but when help was needed you left and caused concern among guests. You also left without cleaning yourself. If any cleaning was done, resources were used contrary to explicit rules.

The hostel is a very humble house with a very sweet owner, Miltos. The tasks are very simple and you have plenty of time to get to know the island and the travelers. Miltos is always happy to give instructions of places for you to go and teach you about life. I will forever remember the hostel. I wish all the luck Mr. the hostel 🍋🫰🏽

I spent 4 weeks volunteering in the hostel, it was my first volunteering experience. I had a wonderful time there, the island is beautiful and the hostel seems to be made to meet people. Regarding the volunteering, the good thing is that Miltos, the owner, is aware that we're on holidays so he makes sure that you have the time for fun. Most of the time he's just asking you to clean the house . Usually we never work 5 hours a day. However, you have to know that sometimes, Miltos can be a little moody and get mad for almost nothing but it did not happened much. What an amazing experience!

The experience was so cool, the hostel is a special place to be and you'll get the chance to meet a lot of people from all over the world. The job is easy and Andros has a lot to offer. Me and Miltos have at the beginning some problems to understand each other but we arranged them within the days, if you want to change something you need to tell them and write it down and you'll be fine. Thanks for the experience!!

My experience in the hostel was unforgettable. Meeting people from all around the world and bonding with them was the best. The place is beautiful, perfect to connect with nature. Miltos was very welcoming and always trying to make us feel comfortable, he was flexible with the work, if you prefer one or another time of the day. The work and days off were settled from the beginning. Really easy chores, anyone could do them. I'll definitely come back.

Miltos was a good host that always made sure I was enjoying my time here. Work expectations were made very clear in the beginning and throughout the experience. The work was very straightforward and chill. Miltos never wanted me to stress about the work and made sure I had time to explore the island each day. I think as long as you have common sense, want to help out at a cool little hostel, meet people from around the world and chill at the beach you would enjoy this opportunity. Thanks Miltos for an awesome stay and for having me! I'll miss the hostel!

This was my first volunteer experience and I couldn't be more happy about it. Before my arrival, I was quite worried from previous reviews. But few hours in, I knew i'd have an amazing time. Miltos really wants you to have a nice stay on the Andros Island!! He has the best hiking recommendations and more. Even though i stayed there during a more low tourist period, i really liked my stay at the hostel!! If you like to be in nature and outside, this is for you! It attracts the best guests with the nicest vibe!! The task are easy, anybody could do it. You just need to have initiative!:)

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I couldn't have had a better time. Miltos is very wise, kind and charismatic, he made the hostel feel like a home away from home. This was no doubt my favourite hostel experience ever! Miltos was very clear with expectations between him and the volunteers from the very start. Miltos and his partner Elena brought a warm inviting presence into the hostel and it was an honour to get to know them better. The work hours. etc were clear and very easy to follow. I will be definitely be coming back in the future! Ps: he makes the best food! efcharistó
