Be part of our team and enjoy the Canadian lifestyle!
L'esperienza
The main task is helping to serve in the dining room, helping in the kitchen, washing dishes or cleaning rooms. There would be someone to train you for these tasks, of course. You might also help with outside work, chopping firewood, doing yard work, building fence, etc., although this is mostly during slow times. The work is well-organized and fun, as you are "working" as part of a team (:

Dettagli del programma
You will need to get an IEC/ working holiday visa if you are not a Canadian.
Work up to 25 hours a week in exchange for free room and board. (ie accommodation and all meals) and free horseback riding twice a week!
We usually have a staff of around 30 people during the season, including an average of 12-15 work exchangers at a time!
You will make wonderful close friends and connections with both guests and staff. All staff are encouraged to mix with the guests and help make their experience (and yours!) as perfect as possible. Most of our staff are in their 20’s and from all over the world, so it’s a wonderful opportunity to make new friends!
Attività e turni
(Rides are 2 – 2 ½ hours long each) You may choose to work extra hours to earn more rides, up to four rides a week. (5 hours of work earns you one ride)
Beginners will receive free basic horsemanship training. Please note that we are not able to take beginner riders during our high season, (July/August) as our beginner horses are needed for guests.
You will usually go out on the trail rides with the guests (especially during the high season), but during the quieter periods you may go out on a staff ride, with one of our wranglers. You will enjoy the same wonderful riding that our guests experience – explore many different trails, lope through the beautiful BC interior and climb mountain trails to stunningly beautiful viewpoints over many miles of open country.
Regole
PLEASE NOTE: Staff are prohibited from smoking on the premises. We had a devastating wildfire season in 2017, and need to do everything we can to prevent that from happening again. Any staff found in violation of this rule will be asked to leave immediately.
You can fly into Kamloops airport and we will pick you up there! There is also the Ebus that goes to Kamloops.
You are required to wear a riding helmet at all times when working with your horse. We provide them free of charge. Cowboy boots or something similar (no running shoes) are also required for riding. We have a large supply of cowboy boots as we rent them out to guests, so we can loan you a pair from the rental supply, free of charge.
