I had the best time at the hostel! I had some personal issues happen while I was there but I was made to feel safe and loved while I worked through them. I made the best of friends and I really enjoyed the work and the locals. I highly recommend going and I'll definitely be back! Thank you for everything Dom and Wes! Miss you guys!

The hostel — what a magical place! Surrounded by forest, green mountains, rivers and waterfalls, and still so close to the ocean, sand and wind. It's a place deeply connected to nature, where walking barefoot feels natural and only strengthens that connection. Spending the month of January here was an incredible experience. I met amazing people, shared meaningful moments, and created memories I'll carry with me forever. I truly recommend this volunteer experience and I can't wait to come back. Wilderness really is paradise.

I loved this place so much. I met the most amazing and fun people here. If I didn't make any plans for after this volunteer I would have definitely stayed. Dom and Wes really made this place a loving home for me and all the other guest. If you want to get back to nature and connect and relax this is the right place to be. Thank you for everyone at the hostel and you will see me back soon!!🫶🏻🫶🏻

I really enjoyed my stay in the hostel! The place is surrounded by beautiful nature and you get to know a lot of locals. Huge thanks to Dom, Wes and the entire team who made the stay truly special. Everyone was so kind, open and welcoming and went out of their way to help you.

I loved staying at the hostel! Everybody was so kind, the people running the place as well as the locals. Working was super fun and easy. Everybody was welcoming and easy to get along with. The nature and scenery is beautiful, a lot of fun things to do around the area and the people in wilderness are also very kind.

Volunteering at the hostel has been a very special experience. The nature is beautiful and there is lots to see and do around the area. It can be hard to get around if you don't have a car, but you can always ask for a lift. The people at the hostel are wonderful and welcoming, they will make sure you have a great time. The work is easy and fun once you get into it. It can be slow sometimes but it's always busy with locals on open mic night and when there are bands playing. It was really cool to get to know all of the locals and get to immerse myself into their culture! Will definitely come back!

I ended up extending my stay! Everyone working at the hostel has been super welcoming and takes time to make sure the volunteers are having fun as well as the guests. Wilderness is a beautiful town and there are several hikes you can do from here as well as kayaking, paragliding, and horseback riding. It has been very nice to spend some time in a smaller town and see some of the nature in South Africa after starting my trip in Cape Town.

I do not know where to start. What an incredible place with spectacular people. Dom and Wesley welcomed me well and made me feel at home. They were VERY patient with my English and thanks to them I felt like I improved a lot in the language! I just have to say a big thank you to the hostel. Whoever comes will love it! Sarah, Sophie, Mercy, Emily, Mr. Jones, Renerick, Lorcan, Mike, Larney, Boo, Ginger! There are so many special people! Whoever comes will fall in love. I absolutely loved my stay at the hostel, from the moment Dom and Wes picked me up at the bus station I felt instantly welcomed. It quickly became a home away from home. The area was beautiful with many things to do and lots of fun interactions with the locals. Working in the bar was a lot of fun and they were so flexible and easy to work with/for. A very nice balance of work hard, play harder. It was an unforgettable experience and I would love to visit again someday. :)
