Tim accepted me for this volunteering but I was obliged to go after the first week. Bad and good,I hope he learn from it: He is bad manager: he criticizes u in front of all- he threatens to fire if u don't follow exactly-he doesn't stop complaining - he monopolizes speech and doesn't accept when u defend ur self-he doesn't accept mistakes or give another chance before blaming u-he exaggerate-he is funny (at least for me)-he's not a good listener -he could be extremely friendly and change to extremely rude-i liked the cultural exchange we had-contact me for details, space is limited here.

❗️A VERY STRANGE ENCOUNTER ❗️

MARIA STAYED 4 FOUR DAYS ONLY

Original dates were 90 days, we accept Maria hoping she would be beneficial for us.

( BUT STRANGELY INFORMED US )

On the first working day her fingers were very sore after cleaning the oven, apparently her fingers prints were worn out due to cleaning and couldn't open her iPhone recognition system.

We was asked to provide a cleaning apron and mask for the work duties and we did, but then Maria decided that this experience was not for her.

We did learn from talking to Maria that she did not fully read the work commitment that was asked of her on this platform, the work was too much for Maria to deal with and she left rather PROMPTLY.

La experiencia en el hostel fue muy buena. Las tareas son sencillas se basan principalmente en la limpieza de los dormitorios, baños y cocina. Luego en la tarde tareas de recepción para recibir a los huéspedes. Luego que las aprendes llevan pocas horas y fáciles de realizar. Tim y Kate son personas muy amable y te explican todo pero a su vez bastante exigentes en cuanto a los cuidados del hostel. Si bien el hostel no es céntrico, hay buses que te llevan al centro en 15 min y puedes recorrer Liverpool! Muy agradecida por la experiencia.

Liverpool es una ciudad muy especial, si eres fan de los Beatles, es imperdible. El hostal está bastante cerca , en bus, del centro. Colaborar aquí te permite conocer la ciudad y hacer un montón de panoramas. Las tareas de limpieza son sencillas y no te quita mucho tiempo del día. Además, los días libres son flexibles y los puedes pedir según tus necesidades.

La tareas son muy sencillas y Joseph siempre está al pendiente de que te sientas lo mas cómoda posible , tienes tiempo de visitar la ciudad y las instalaciones son buenas

El lugar cuenta con instalaciones apropiadas para dormir, cocinar y pasar el tiempo con comodidad, las tareas que debíamos hacer se informaban cada mañana, empezábamos a las 10am y cuando terminabas las tareas tenías el resto del día libre por lo que se podía aprovechar el día para visitar diferentes lugares, además también teníamos días libres cuando no había tareas que realizar, el administrador y su señora siempre fueron muy amables y respetuosos conmigo, muy pacientes para comunicarnos a pesar que mi nivel de inglés no es bueno.

I had a good experience in this volunteer!! Liverpool is a lovely city, you'll have a lot of time to tourism. The tasks are easily and will be share with the others volunteer. I really recommend there and I hope go back one day!

The Pod was my first WorldPackers experience and it was beyond my expectations. Joseph is the perfect host !! Always kind and helpful, plus the job was really clear and reasonable. The place is 10 minutes away from the city center and everything you need is very close. I warmly recommend experiencing The Pod !!

The Pod was my first experience with WorldPackers, and now I fear I might get disappointed about what is to come ! I loved Liverpool and cannot wait to come back. The work in the hostel was fair and manageable, thanks to the amazing team running the place. Joseph and Kate are always here to help and answer any question you might have, I felt very welcome and I am very sad to be leaving ! Thank you so much the guest house time I spent with you, I have met great people here and I know I will always cherish the memories of Liverpool !

My time at the guest house was great, the host Joseph was always friendly, receptive, available to help and share information. The tasks were easy and simple to perform, with less than two hours a day I finished the tasks. The volunteers' room is cozy and well equipped, but a little small, which can get cramped when we are with 3 volunteers. The kitchen is well equipped. The location is in a neighborhood with all necessities close by, including many bus lines to downtown. I recommend the experience!
