My experience in the community was GREAT. James is a very kind person, with whom i passed a great volunteering experience. The family is very welcoming and i never felt as a foreigner. I had the chance to experience the community life everyday with them. I volunteered in the farm and also in the school and both where great and i learned a lot. I hope i will came back one day !

The best place to stay if you want to volunteer in Arusha. The whole family is so amazing and gentle. We have a comfortable bedroom, good bed, shower and wonderful food made with love. The house is so nice, where you can stay and relax when you are not working. I felt like home since the first day. An experience that I will remember forever!!

This experience really changed my life for the better. I was in Jobreas School and I spent some days in the Orphanage. Kissiri family made me feel at home, the food was incredible, and I really enjoyed my stay there. On the other hand, I sponsored a child from the Orphanage, I think it has been the best and valuable experience in all my life. This project is amazing, and James is the best host. Volunteering in Africa changed my life and made me so happy. Rewarding and comforting experience ever. Thank you so much! Asante sana.

Experiência forte, que reconecta, transforma e te coloca no seu lugar nesse mundo. Foi minha primeira experiência com trabalho voluntário na África e posso dizer que foi muito especial. A família te recebe como se fosse da família deles. Você vive o dia a dia deles. A casa fica num vilarejo rural, confortável e a comida é bem gostosa. Escolhi trabalhar alguns dias no orfanato e outros dias na Jobreas School. Você também o que escolhe o que prefere ajudar. O que posso dizer é que o que você aprende em poucos dias ajudando aquelas crianças é mais do que em muitos anos de vida. Transformador.

La experiencia es fantástica, estar con la familia es genial. Vivís con una familia tanzana, aprendes suahili y compartís momentos y comida increíbles. En Jobreas puedes colaborar con distintas clases y pasar tiempo con los niños, creo que en el orfanato es donde más trabajo se puede aportar. Sobretodo en materia de enseñanza. Los nenes son unas cosa inexplicable y la cara de felicidad cada vez que te ven hacen que todo valga la pena.

Mi estancia y trabajo en Arusha con la organización la comunidad fue perfecta. James, el anfitrión es un hombre sensible y siempre dispuesto, la casa es increíble, cómoda, la comida deliciosa y la familia es maravillosa. El trabajo con los niños y profesores en el colegio estuvo muy bien, aprendí mucho y te dan libertad de escoger los temas en los que te sientes más confiando. Sobre el orfanato, me enamoré de todos los niños!!! El sector donde vivimos es tranquilo, fácil transporte, la ciudad queda a 15 minutos. Fue realmente una experiencia que recomiendo a todos!

Definitely this project is complete and amazing. First because the options of volunteering are simple, nice and different. You have the chance to teach and help at a junior school, help in basic tasks inside an orphanage, visit something like a hostel for kids and even help at the farm in the house. On the other hand you can find the kindness and hospitality of Kissiri Family who can teach you a lot of things and make you feel part of the family. The Tanzanian food is delicious, the rooms are perfect and the house is one of the best places I have ever volunteering. I recommend this project!

My girlfriend ( Swiss-German) and I ( Tanzanian that lives in Switzerland ) had a great time and it was our 1st experience! We spent 2 weeks at the Kissiri's house and James picked us up from the bus station . We chose to teach at the school and we taught grade 5 & 6 English , Math, Geography and Vocational skills ( music). The staff at the school is welcoming and the kids are great( Amazing) . Special thanks to the host family they were great to us and extra activities are available. We don't want to spoil your experience,for us its was defenetly a 100 out 10 for sure.
