My time at the hostel did not go as expected but A few people from the staff, Jure and Adna helped me through my short stay at the hostel and were very kind. I saw the host interact very well with guests. Nevertheless, I would not recommend this place to anyone who'd like to volunteer. Hours are not respected, the host will sometimes relocates guest and volunteers to share an apartment he says he owns a 10 min walk away uphill, and breakfast isn't included unless asked for then he will give money, not food. Had to ask for WP insurance after he made me feel uncomfortable and yelled at me.

It was a mostly enjoyable experience. The host was quite short and a little rude at times. It was fun to interact with the employees, other volunteers and guests. The hours where more than the listed amount, and the accommodation was interesting, as we didn't have a set bed so regularly had to move round and multiple times stay off site.

I had such a great time meeting wonderful guests & making new friends in this hostel. Faris & Amina were so fun to work with! ! Working hours varied, but usually I worked 5 hours reception/cleaning in the day and 2 hours at the bar at night. My “days off” included a night bar shift as well. I feel that better communication skills would have improved my experience. I received contradictory instructions at times, and it felt difficult to satisfy the host with my work, who struggles to express criticism in a respectful manner. Overall I'm grateful for the friends I made and time I spent here!

I really enjoy my time at the hostel. I supposted to stay here for 2 weeks, but I stayed for more than a month. The hostel is comfy and colorful, work is easy and you will have lot of free time to explore the city. I immediately connected with staff, Ivan and Lejla are simply amazing. I higly recommand volunteering here!

I had such a nice time in the hostel. During 3 weeks I met lots of international guests, got to know the local culture and to visit the cities of Mostar, Jajce, and República of Sprska. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who wants to get to know Bosnia. The shifts are 5 hours long and everything is flexible and arrangable, which allows you to do some sight seeing in the city during the date (or night). Also you get one full day off per week which allows you to do day trips. The hostel team is amazing and will always check out you are comfortable and doing fine 🤍

It was a great experience. Sarajevo is a great city with lots of things to do, specially in summer. The vibe in the hostel with other travellers is really nice, you make friends inmediately and it feels like you know them from a lifetime. The hostal and the installations are pretty good and everything is clean. The work is not hard. The hostal is nearby the city centre, so everything is walking distance, including the bars and the clubs. If you want more info about my experience don't hesitate in contact me. :)

That was, definitely, one of the best experiences I have ever had. I knew that getting out of my comfort zone would be hard, but staying at the hostel hann hostel made that so natural and easy All the people I met, all the experiences that I had made me a better person. all the work that I had to do were so easy and quick that made me feel like home. And Ivan , Unkas are such an amazing, incredible and lovely person. I would recommend the hostel to everyone . Thanks guys

How amazing was my stay at the hostel?! I only have gratitude towards Unkas, Ivan, Faruk, Fahra and Lejla: amazing, kind, fun and fair people! The volunteer role was exactly as described: helping with reception, beds and the best part: the bar (I love staying at the bar and wellcoming guests... almost doesnt feel like volunteering). It was all very easy, and you have plenty of time to do your own stuff still :) The hostel is awesome and they even took me on tours and night outs (Ivan's band rock!). I highly reccomend this opp and cant wait to come back one day!!! Hvala my friends! :)
