Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to make like-minded friends from all different parts of the world and crave for adventures;) I have learnt a lot while my time at thethethe hostel, and have a much more clear idea what I would like to do with the rest of my life.

This was my first volunteering experience and I couldn't have ask for more, the work was light and the people amazing, both of the supervisors Jake and Rob genuinely care for the volunteers. I ended up staying two extra week and I would've stayed more if the hostel didn't close for the season. This hostel will make your expectations about volunteering really high, I would recommend it to anyone.

I had a fantastic experience at Loch side. I was made to feel very welcome from the start by the team and a great bunch of volunteers. The work is straightforward and hours are very fair. Its the perfect place to relax and unwind in a beautiful place. Rob was a great supervisor, very approchable and took the time to get to know everyone and genuinely cared about your experience there.

Omg! I think it was the best volunteer that i have. It was a real Exchange of culture, people and work! The work its very easy and the place amazing! I really loved my time there. Loch Ness is awesome! Thank you so much Rob and all the volunteers, i miss you guys! See you in the next season 🫶🫶

I honestly cannot speak highly enough about the hostel, the management, the other volunteers and the experience. It was the best first Worldpackers experience I could have asked for. The nature surrounding the hostel is absolutely incredible and I feel so blessed to have been able to spend a month exploring and being part of the hostel family. Rob was a fantastic manager, he is so fun and welcoming and very good at communicating and motivating the staff. I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about this place. I highly recommend the hostel to anyone and everyone

I truly can't imagine a better hostel to volunteer at, this place felt like home after only being there a couple days. The work is straightforward and easy, the social setting and overall vibe is perfect. Everybody is so welcoming and friendly, you'll have a hard time not making lasting friends with the other volunteers and guests. Rob (the manager) was a quick friend and a really great guy. He's quick to help if there's any problems with work or anything else. The hostel is in a remote area surrounded by beautiful nature, but doesn't have any shops nearby (grocery delivery is cheap).

I absolutely loved my time at the hostel. Both Rob and Jake were great hosts who genuinely cared about the wants and needs of the volunteers. Hours were respected and the work was very doable. The hostel itself is a great place to slow down and form meaningful connections with others from all around the world, as well as a place to fully immerse yourself in some of the best nature Scotland has to offer. I am very grateful to have been able to have spent 4 weeks at the hostel, and I know that I will always look back on my time there fondly.

Had such an amazing time at LochNess, is an amazing location right on the loch surrounded by amazing walking trails and great access to the Great Glen Way. Volunteers and management were lovely, and daily tasks were great as it allowed you to have a lot of spare time to explore the area. Would definitely recommend this experience to others looking to spend time in nature, and be in a bit of a slower pace in comparison to other cities in Scotland.

I loved volunteering at the hostel! I stayed for two weeks, which was the perfect amount of time, with work finishing by 1:30, and two days off a week there is plenty of time to explore the surrounding area on foot. Great hikes, cold dips in the loch and walks to cafe's! The work was easy and fairly divided. Managers were great, easy to talk to and always happy to help. Worth noting that the buses can be unreliable, but we got lucky hitchhiking as and when we needed to. I couldn't recommend the hostel more, it's peaceful, cosy and a great space. + a free pool table!

The environment is friendly and inclusive. They have fun dance nights and volunteer activities. It is a beautiful location and would recommend.
