Este voluntariado fue increíble. Me quedé 1 mes y me senti cómo en mi casa. Que bueno tener el sentimiento que estás en una familia cuando viajas. Alex y Marco son muy buena ondas y divertido caballeros de Argentina. Conocte muy bien con ellos y sus buen acentos jaja. Las tareas son muy sencillas y divertidas. Hay 3 gallinas muy amable también que pueden llevar. Tenia buen conversación con ellas. La naturaleza tambien está loco buenísimo, muchos parajos salvajes amblematico de Costa Rica! Van a disfrutar ese lugar y todo sus voluntarios, es casi spiritual aca. Muyyy Tuaniiss chico!!

La Comarca is truly a magical place. One of the best two weeks of my life. It's in a gorgeous location (about 40 minutes away from Quepos/the lodge by bus) with a river nearby, and insane natural beauty everywhere. Our tasks were reasonable, and divided very fairly every day. The best part was the family I made there, people I will stay connected to for the rest of my life! Cooking and eating meals together, doing our tasks, and going on adventures was SO FUN. The rooms are small, but still quite comfortable! Alex and Marco are great hosts, a perfect first volunteer opportunity for me:)

La comarca es un lugar hermoso para vivir, en muy poco tiempo logré sentirme como en casa, tanto que comprendí que dos semanas era muy poco tiempo y extendí por casi dos meses 🙈 Conocí a las personas detrás, Marco, Alex, Edgar son maravillosos! La humildad y el compromiso con el que llevan adelante este proyecto es admirable. Tareas simples y dinámicas, destacó su escucha activa a los voluntarios, es un espacio que todos los días muta, crece y se transforma, nadie pasa desapercibido, todos dejamos nuestra huella. He sido muy feliz aquí! Aguante el big domo y sus derivados planes🦋🌀🧚🏻‍♂️

Alex and Marco are more than just hosts — they become your friends and confidants. Alex himself was a volunteer, and you can tell; he's created a magical space where all of us volunteers can connect and form a true family. We have regular outings, and on workdays we do spontaneous things like movie nights, yoga, or whatever comes up. It's a wonderful, almost spiritual experience — which makes sense, considering Alex's resemblance to Jesus Christ. There's no way to repay all the experiences I've had the privilege to live in this place, thanks to such kind-hearted souls as Alex and Marco

I highly recommend going to La Comarca, especially for a first volunteering. This place and the people made me feel at home for a few weeks and that's the reason I decided to extend my stay. The volunteers' rooms are small but it's enough for the time you spend there. The daily task are easy, mostly cleaning, cooking and gardening. Working hours are very flexible and you still have plenty of time to enjoy the rest of your day. Thanks to Marco and Alex, who are amazing hosts, attentive and available, I had an extraordinary experience and I would go back without any hesitation!!

I recommend this place! 🥰 It was a great opportunity to get to know a lot of other like minded people around the globe. 🌱🫶 It felt more like being in a big family than a work enviroment! A big thanks for your flexibility and patience with me, Alex & Marco! 🫶 (I changed my plans and stayed shorter than planned and then had problems with paying online 🫣 but they always stayed so kind!!) Mon expérience à La Comarca a été très riche et intense. J'ai rencontré beaucoup de volontaires différents, de nationalités différentes : ce fut des rencontres mémorables ! L'endroit est très immersif dans les montagnes et il y fait bon vivre. Le travail été assez simple, mais intéressent et très lié à l'entretient du the lodge. Le manager Marco est quelqu'un de bienveillant et généreux, j'ai également pu rencontré Alex (le propriétaire) qui est vraiment l'âme de la Comarca, il fait toujours de son mieux pour faire de notre expérience un moment spécial. Je recommande !

Recomiendo muchísimo este voluntariado, sobre todo si es tu primera experiencia. La comunidad que se crea es mágica y los anfitriones, Marco y Alex, son muy buena vibra y se preocupan por hacer tu estancia especial. Las tareas son sencillas, los horarios se respetan y son flexibles si quieres hacer actividades fuera. Tal vez las habitaciones no sean las más amplias o las mejor equipadas, pero eso fomenta a compartir más con los demás voluntarios. PD: me faltó el enanooo

It's a perfect place for those looking to escape the hustle of everyday life as La Comarca is a quiet place surrounded by nature. I met some awesome people there and I really enjoyed preparing and eating every meal together with the whole group, I feel like it brought us closer together. The volunteers' rooms are very basic, but it was all I needed. Unfortunately the car was broken down at that time, so we didn't get to see a lot of the neighbourhood, but we still managed to see a few places on foot or by bus. Overall, I highly recommend this experience!
