Dettagli del programma

Our sea turtle volunteer program on Boa Vista offers a hands-on conservation experience for international volunteers. Participants live at La Cacao Camp, a remote beach camp, and work closely with local rangers to protect loggerhead sea turtles. Volunteers take part in night patrols and morning census, assist with tagging and measuring nesting turtles, and help maintain the camp. The program combines meaningful conservation work with cultural exchange, teamwork, and life in a natural, off-grid environment. Volunteers also enjoy free time during the day to explore the island, relax on the beach, or participate in other optional educational activities. The program is a digital detox experience, encouraging participants to disconnect and immerse themselves fully in nature and conservation work.

Attività e turni

Volunteers participate in a variety of activities that support sea turtle conservation:
• Night patrols: walking the beaches to monitor nesting turtles and protect nests.
