Mi experiencia en el Valley fue bastante agradable, es un gran lugar si quieres vivir la experiencia selvática, es interesante vivir en un lugar así, alejado de todo. La comida de staff a veces es bastante buena pero en otras ocasiones es muy poco y quedas con algo de hambre. No hay mucha variedad en la comida del menú que podemos elegir los voluntarios. Fuera de eso todo está bastante bien, el trabajo es bastante chill y se nos da mucha libertad, me sentí realmente cómoda en el Valley :)

Been volunteering 5 years+ & nothing compares to this, I truly had the BEST time 🙌🏻 The work is easy & u have so much free time, I made friends for life with the other volunteers, staff & guests🤍 Paul, Johan & Santy thank u from the bottom of my heart for absolutely everything ❤️ VOLUNTEERS: Enjoy every moment because it goes fast & I am so jealous of anyone who gets to experience here from the start. They made a lot of changes in the 2 months I was there, extended the dorm & can choose food from menu, we can stay other places free & get discounts on everything🙌🏻

The hostel is a small trek to get to, but close to beaches, rivers, waterfalls, shops, towns by walking/public bus. Shifts are simple, the staff is chill, 30 hrs is a bit but when you're working you still get to hangout w volunteers/guests/staff. The manager, Johan, and the owner, Paul, were both welcoming and fun to be around, genuinely wanting everyone to have a good experience. Keep in mind, it is in the jungle, basic things — 3 walled dorm, shower, and bthrm, no hot water, electricity and water can go out at times due to storms. Loved being in nature and enjoyed my time here <3

I couldn't recommend the hostel enough! The staff and owner are super friendly and welcoming, the room is comfortable and open, the hours are set by a weekly schedule and they will never EVER ask you to work a minute longer than the agreed times and the food is simple but nice vegetarian meals (option to pay for meat too)! We also get discounts in the hostel and to go to other places for our weekends which is really nice for the budget! FYI: some past volunteer reviews had me skeptical but they've taken those into consideration and made a few changes that pretty much solved all the issues!

The places is amazing , very chill and comfortable, definitely it's a place where you can have a break of everything while your traveling, the staff in general is very kind and supportive, the owners are always there so you can speak with them anytime you need it , there's some waterfalls and places to swim close but you will need to be ready to do come hiking , it's a really good adventure

My time volunteering at the hostel was really great, the place is inspiring and you are literally immersed in nature (which is what I really wanted). Paul and Yael were super helpful to me and the entire team became almost like family to me during that moment. I intend to return to the region in the future and I will definitely return to the hostel, as a guest or volunteer again. thank you for everything :)

This place is paradise, you will be blown away by the beauty and nature of the hostel! Massive shoutout to Johan for being the greatest boss of all time, he goes the extra mile to make sure you have an unforgettable experience. The volunteers that the hostel attracts are amazing, I have some really great memories here so much so I extend by 3 more weeks! The work can be a little demanding at times however nothing that wasn't agreed too at the beginning. You can visit the hostel, Minca, Palomino, Taganga, beautiful beaches along the coast and multiple waterfalls! Thank you guys! 🫶🏾

Valley is an amazing hostel with amazing view of the mountains and wanderful people. I connected with the nature and also the other volunteers. I had to leave a couple of days earlier but that was thankfully no problem. The manager is very kind and friendly. Thank you for everything🫶🏼

El Valley sin duda es uno de los mejores hostales en los que he voluntariado! Un lugar hermoso en el que conectas con la naturaleza, te relajas, la pasas muy lindo y comes delicioso. Muchas gracias a todo el staff Johan que siempre estuvo al pendiente de lo que necesitábamos los voluntarios, Yari, Naomi y Jairo que son los más chidos de la cocina, las chicas de la recepción, Ángela en la barra, y al equipo de voluntarios que se formó que me hicieron sentir en casa siempre. Los voy a extrañar mucho, fue un placer tocar musiquita por allá y ayudarles en la cocina también. No lo pienses y ve!!

Nem nos meus melhores sonhos eu imaginaria que viveria o que vivi nessas últimas 2 semanas. Estive no hostel fazendo música (que é uma das coisas que mais amo na vida) e conhecendo as maravilhas do caribe colombiano. Eu não sei como é o paraíso e nem se ele existe, mas caso exista, deve parecer muito com esse lugar. Pra ser sincero ainda parece um devaneio meu. Só tenho a agradecer aos donos do hostel por abrir as portas pra mim, ao staff por me receber tão bem e a todos os voluntários e viajantes que conheci/convivi! + Um agradecimento especial a Angela ♥️ Vida longa ao o hostel!
