Dettagli del programma
Vibe Coding for Next-Gen Hostels
We are looking for “vibe coders” 💻 – curious people who want to help us design and build internal tools that make hostel life smoother for both staff and guests.
We’re a small hostel team that started creating our own software, AI agents and automations to improve daily operations. We already have around 10 different internal apps in development, and some of them share the same database that includes staff information (such as names and internal records). Your role will be to help us prototype and refine these tools together with our team, so that anyone on staff – even non-engineers – can use them in real life.
We use tools like Claude for “vibe coding”, plus Zapier, Retool, ChatGPT and other APIs to connect everything. You don’t need to be a professional developer, but you should be comfortable with computers, enjoy problem-solving, and be excited about using AI and no-code/low-code tools to create something useful. The goal is simple and ambitious: to build a next-generation “budget-hotel system” so that anyone, anywhere, can travel with confidence.
AttivitĂ e turni
You will mainly work on software / automation / AI-agent related tasks, together with our core team.
Typical activities:
• Brainstorming ideas to improve hostel operations (check-in, cleaning, reservations, communication, etc.)
• Turning those ideas into simple tools using:
• Claude for “vibe coding” (explaining what we want in natural language and iterating on code together)
• APIs and integrations such as Zapier, Retool, ChatGPT, and other services
• Testing our internal apps from a staff/user point of view and giving feedback
• Helping us document how to use the tools in simple language (for non-technical staff)
• Supporting staff members who want to learn how to use or improve these tools
• 4 hours per day, 5 days per week (total 20 hours/week)
• Shifts are flexible between 9:00 and 22:00, to be coordinated with the staff who will work with you
• We will agree on a weekly schedule together so that:
• You have enough free time to enjoy the city and travel
• You still have overlapping time with the team for pair-working and feedback
Regole
To make the experience good for everyone, we ask you to agree with the following rules:
• Confidentiality & data protection
• Do not share any internal information (staff data, access links, internal tools, source code) outside the project.
• Follow our basic security guidelines when using your laptop and online accounts.
• Professional attitude
• Be on time for agreed shifts and communicate early if you need to change your schedule.
• Be open to feedback and ready to iterate on your ideas and prototypes.
• Collaboration
• Work respectfully with staff and other volunteers, and be patient with non-technical team members.
• Document what you build in clear and simple English so others can continue using/improving it.
• Hostel environment
• Respect guests’ privacy and quiet hours.
• Keep shared workspaces and common areas clean and organized.
