Our hostel is located in Uçhisar, one of the most peaceful and beautiful villages in Cappadocia, surrounded by fairy chimneys and incredible sunsets. You’ll have plenty of time to explore canyons, underground cities, and balloon viewpoints!

Wanderlust Inn is a small, family-run hostel located in the peaceful village of Uçhisar, Cappadocia. Our team combines professionalism with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I’m a licensed professional tour guide, and I love sharing the rich history, culture, and hidden stories of Cappadocia with our guests and volunteers. Our staff are local, kind, and always ready to help — we treat everyone with respect and genuine hospitality. Volunteers can expect to be treated fairly and warmly, as part of our team. We believe in clear communication, teamwork, and cultural exchange. You’ll have the chance to learn about local traditions, improve your skills in hospitality, and experience Cappadocia from a local perspective — not just as a visitor. Lamentablemente esta experiencia no fue lo que esperaba. En cuanto a la acomodación y la ubicación, el espacio es relativamente nuevo, bonito, acogedor y cómodo. Sin embargo, a nivel de la experiencia de voluntariado, para mí fue decepcionante, ya que esperaba algo diferente, sin mencionar las comidas. Durante el proceso surgieron algunos inconvenientes y, debido a ello, el anfitrión decidió finalizar el voluntariado antes de lo previsto. En general, aunque el lugar cumple en términos de espacio y comodidad, la experiencia como voluntaria no se desarrolló como había esperado.

Thank you for your feedback. Cleaning and reception duties were clearly stated at the beginning of the program. Unwillingness to fulfill these responsibilities would mean altering the purpose and scope of the volunteer program. Due to this incompatibility, the decision was made to end the program early. Thank you for your positive comments regarding the accommodation.

My volunteering experience was genuinely beautiful and rewarding! Hasan is a super kind, relaxed, and good-vibes host. I felt completely at home! The tasks are simple with high autonomy, leaving plenty of time to explore Cappadocia. The hostel is lovely, perfectly located, and Hasan organizes great tours. Highly recommend this stay for an authentic and memorable volunteer experience in Turkey!

I would recommend this hostel for anyone looking to volunteer in cappadocia, theres only two small dorms and two private rooms to clean and lots of flexibility in hours and the chance to go on tours etc with other guests and Hasan who is very generous. Staying in the female dorm was very chill (ppl do wake up around 5-6 for sunrise balloon rides) but this didn’t affect me and its a high-end hostel. Lots of chance to meet people and you get €20 a week for food - oh and you are in uçhisar which is on a hill with pretty views and nearby via walk/bus to other hikes or towns. Teşşekkürler Hasan!!

This was my first Worldpackers trip and Hasan’s first time hosting — what an amazing match! We became good friends super quickly. Hasan’s super chill, always around to help, chat, or share tips about Cappadocia. His family and kittens are lovely and make you feel at home. The work is easy, and there’s plenty of free time to explore, relax, or just enjoy the views. The hostel is new, cozy, and very well located. You share a room with guests — sometimes a bit noisy. Food is bought weekly. Such a great experience to meet people from everywhere and really live the local culture! Never forget this❤
