We want to engage, work with and have a dialogue with people who want to enjoy all that Ireland has to offer while in exchange, help us restore this 400 year old fortified Bawn(castle/keep) and its grounds.

We will provide a true Irish welcome in our home and ask no more than that any volunteer who comes here does a little for a little.

Jason and Khris are a married gay couple who met in 2008 and married in 2016. We have moved around a bit in the past 16 years but when we found our current home we absolutely fell in love with it and knew that in all the places we have lived, this is the one. Jason is a general manager of a busy bar, restaurant and event space in the City of Derry. Khris works as a management accountant for a software and engineering company and works three days from home and two days in the office in Newry. Both trained as Hotel Managers in the 1990's and have a true love for hospitality and looking after people. Jason has two boys from his first marriage and they live in Brisbane with their mum. Jason and Khris currently do not have "staff" in the traditional sense but we do have two gardeners who work one day a week for us. Any volunteer who decides to stay with us will be treated with respect, kindness and be welcomed into our home as we would any traveler or guest. Volunteers will be included in any events we hold and be introduced to our family and friends so that they may broaden their circle. Volunteers will be provided with information on what to see and do around the area and encouraged to visit our favourite places in Ireland.
