Monte Silvestre
If you want to experiment a simple and deep contact with nature, in a gorgeous land in Alto Alentejo region, with green pastures, wildlife and a small river, come and join us!
We dedicate our time to this project with all our love.
We are a small community - 7 adults 2 toodlers and 1 baby on the way. Although one of us is still transitioning from Lisbon. For us is important to have a respectful and friendly environment, being in tune with nature and its rhythms. We love to have fun and enjoy life, playing music at the bonfire, meeting with the neighbours, learning new skills, cooking healthy food. So we would love to invite you to share all of this with us.

This was my first volunteering experience and I am more than satisfied. I am really greatful to have found this community. I actually showed up with a twisted ankle and they helped me and taught me how to heal faster and gave me time to recover properly. Everybody took great care of me.
Work is not hard at all and everybody is so kind and respectful that it was my great pleasure to even work longer sometimes because I wanted to show my appreciation. Also their cooking is delicious.

Maria, Ricardo and everyone in the community have created such a beautiful and harmonious place in nature. From the first moment, I felt truly welcomed and part of something special. Working together, sharing meals and daily life was a joyful and meaningful experience. I’m deeply grateful for their kindness, openness and inspiration. Memories I’ll carry with me on my journey.

Todos los integrantes de la finca son personas muy amables. El trabajo consistía en ayudar a rehabilitar una ruina y también en colaborar en los proyectos de agricultura. Ricardo nos dio mucha flexibilidad, tanto en los horarios como en las tareas que preferíamos realizar, e incluso en si queríamos trabajar en pareja o por separado.

Tuvimos suerte de poder vivir este voluntariado en Monte Silvestre. Fue un lugar donde nos hemos conectado con la naturaleza y su gente, y hemos aprendido mucho sobre sostenibilidad, agricultura y construcción. El trabajo es algo exigente en cuanto a esfuerzo físico pero Ricardo lo hace dinámico y se respetan los tiempos y descanso. El lugar es un sitio increíble, merece la pena ir y echar una mano para poder hacer realidad el sueño de sus habitantes! Muchas gracias de todo corazón!

Mi experiencia en este voluntariado fue increíble. Tuve la oportunidad de probar una dieta vegana y descubrir que la comida es deliciosa y variada. Aprendí sobre carpintería y plantación, lo que me permitió desarrollar nuevas habilidades prácticas. Además, el entorno natural y la tranquilidad del lugar hicieron que fuera una experiencia muy enriquecedora y relajante. Recomiendo totalmente esta oportunidad a quienes busquen
aprendizaje, conexión con la naturaleza y un ambiente de paz.
