house sarghini Tagounite
Why come to our place?
Our farm is a quiet palm oasis in the south of Morocco. Volunteers can enjoy real desert life and help with easy daily tasks — like feeding chickens and sheep, gardening, and taking care of palm trees and plants 🌿.
We also enjoy creative work, such as repairing our traditional clay house, painting, or making art on the walls, while learning about natural desert building techniques 🎨🏜️.
In your free time, you can visit old kasbahs and ksours, sleep under the stars in the sand dunes, and watch beautiful sunsets 🌅.
Sometimes, we join local music nights, weddings, or festivals in the oasis 🎶.
Accommodation and Help
If you come alone, you’ll have a private room — safe, quiet, and with your own shower and key 🏠.
If you come with friends or family, you can share a room — it’s your choice!
We plan the work together with volunteers. Everyone can choose the tasks they enjoy and change activities anytime.
If the weather is too hot or windy, we simply pause outdoor work — comfort comes first 🌞💨.
About us
My name is Zakaria, and I’m an Arabic language teacher. I live with my father, mother, and sister on the farm.
We love welcoming travelers and sharing our desert culture. Volunteers are treated as friends and part of our family, with kindness and respect.
You’ll enjoy Moroccan home-cooked food, peaceful evenings, and friendly people.
What can you learn here?
Here, you can learn about oasis farming, desert plants, and traditional construction using 100% natural materials.
You can also learn Arabic, discover Moroccan and oasis culture, relax, and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the desert and its animals 🐫.
You may also visit the weekly market, and if you come during festival times, we can attend events like Taragalte Festival, Nomads Festival, or Lh'nanish Festival in M’Hamid El Ghizlane — and enjoy amazing desert music 🎵🔥.
Sometimes, we visit local schools or centers for children with disabilities, or the desert music school and traditional museum.
Volunteers are welcome to share their culture or stories about their country if they wish 🌍❤️.
