Herdade da Agolada de Cima, Coruche

Volunteers will be integrated in our daily tasks, feel part of the organization and enjoy the freedom of our spaces.Lots of nature, not far from town.We consider volunteers be a precious part of our daily lives. We enjoy teaching volunteers about our activities and enjoy learning from their personal experiences. There is lots of room to roam around, swiming in our lakes or pool, visit the local town of Coruche and enjoy the meals cooked by our resident staff.Volunteers also have their own quarters with full kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, wi-fi.If you like socializing or enjoy some privacy, we provide oportunities for both.

Volunteering is a wonderfull concept. We want volunteers to have a memorable experience. For a lot people is their first voluntering experience so we ease them into the tasks and give them some time to adjust. We know that comunication and mutual respect between host staff and volunteers is the key to success so we make it easy for volunteers to voice their concerns at all times. We like to think of ourselves as open minded and flexible.Volunteers if they wish, can leave at anytime without notice and with no questions asked on our part as hosts. This freedom is crucial so that volunteers never feel stuck or obliged to justify their departure. We encourage socializing between volunteers, staff and ourselves as hosts.

As a solo traveler, trying out volunteering for the first time, I found this place so enjoyable.

The host and staffs are super nice and there was always an abundance of fresh, wholesome food available whenever you want.

The work hours are flexible so you can take day-offs depending on your schedule.

It's the perfect chance for someone seeking a connection with nature in countryside.

Huge thanks to Antonio for being a great host and giving me a warm welcome!

I had a great at Agolada! Antonio made sure that we had everything we needed, the volunteers have their own house and a lot of space. The amount of volunteers varied betwenn 2 to 7 people during my 3 week stay! The group felt really family-ish. We worked in the morning, cleaning or cutting brenches in the forest. Except for Antonio and Branca, the staff mainly speaks portuguese- so it is definitely easier if you speak it as well, but we made it work with a little spanish and patience. Overall the communication was very respectful and I miss the place a lot :)

I stayed here for a week. It was okay, we did a lot of cleaning and working in the forest. We didn’t really have to cook ourselves as the meals were provided which was really nice! There is a pool and a lake where you can swim. The farm is near a road but there is not really an opportunity to leave the property on your day off, or as they say on the profile free hiking tours, there wasn’t any.

I spend an incredible month in Agolada, it's a really peaceful and and beautiful place. Antonio and all the staff were very nice. I really liked the mood we created with the other volunteers. I also liked work in the forest. It couldn't have been better, Antonio and Branca and all the staff were aware of our well-being and were always available if we had any question. I really felt like home there.
I'll never forget this fabulous month !!
