Ethic Surf House
Our house is located just 1 km away from some of Europes's best surf spots (Baleal). It is low season now so there are less people around (mostly people staying long term). Some of them have their own apartment/studio so it is not crowded.
There are bikes and surfboards available (for free!) We do not provide meals but there is a large kitchen/dining/living room and you will find some food shops/bakeries, cafés and restaurants nearby.
I run this place on my own but I need help to make some home improvements. People who have volunteered in the guest house before have really enjoyed their time here. I live in a separate apartment, once your hours are done, you are independent, you can go surfing or whatever. Sometime I need help in the morning, sometime in the afternoon, I can be flexible (but I need someone flexible too!)

Ethic Surf House would be a great choice for any volunteer! Your host Elise is warm, welcoming, and very encouraging during your stay. The accomodation is cozy and has every you need to be comfortable. The town is quaint and is a short walking distance to the beach. The tasks include some check ins/outs, painting, and keeping the grounds clean. You have plenty of free time to get out and explore or take local surf lessons. Even better, Elise has the best cat, Lela, to keep you company during your stay! Thank you for everything Elise and Lela ❤️

Elise was great. Very kind person. She explained what our tasks were for the day and was always there to answer any questions we had. I was able to do keep the place clean while also getting things ready for the spring. Painting, sweeping, vacuuming. I love Lela, her cat and it was a joy to take care of her. I would definitely recommend ethic house. Also the vibe of the town is great. Small surfing town. Thank you Elise!

It was my first Worldpackers experience and the bar has been set high. Elise is an incredible host, very sweet and understanding. The tasks are super easy and I learned a lot about maintaining a guest house. I had such a wonderful time meeting other team members, the guests, surfing, and learning from Elise. I cannot recommend this experience enough! If you want a mega chill surfing getaway, this one is for you. Thank you Elise and Ethic for being so amazing! I would definitely come back 🧡🫶.

Kesha was a great volunteer! Everything went very smoothly, she was always smiling and eager to help. she did some painting, DIY, looked after the many many plants! Also helped with check-outs, laundry, cleaning and check-ins.
She is reliable, friendly and hard working! Respectful of the house, clean and tidy, got along very well with other volunteers and guests.
I could also her to look after the house and the cat while I was away for a few days All in all 10 stars volunteer! Thank you!

Elise & Ethic Surf House offers a chill atmosphere mixed with a relaxed vibe, the hours are simple with very straight forward tasks. Volunteering for me involved restoration, a skill of mine. Elise is clear, direct and just a pleasure of a host. My free time consisted of chatting with guest/other volunteers, see the loving village of Ferrel from its quaint bakeries/ cafes to the tasty restaurants and when the waves were pumping I would go to Baleal & surf on it many beaches. My time was short yet I made great friends & amazing memories. I would return in a heartbeat!!

i absolutely loved my stay at ethics !! elise is extremely friendly, very chill and nice , and is really well organized on what your tasks are. everything was lovely , the chores, the abmiance, the guesthouse , the town , the facilities....
highly highly recomended , it was a great and fun experience!!!!
