The host was able to make you feel comfortable. Always social encouraging you to strive for your goal and teaches you about the any questions in the Japanese culture from teaching the language to how they act.

The stay itself, the work and Ram san and Gurung san are incredible. The work is not hard and never goes overtime, you get your own room and 3 meals per day, even when you don't work.

That being said, be aware that there is really not a lot to do around Milky House except hiking, you can't really practice Japanese, the communication with the host is non-existent and this review is only valid for the off-season from May to November. YMMV.

We had a really good time at Milky House, specially when with lovely co-workers! The place is beatiful, lots of nature around and also good food. I wish communication had been better regarding information before getting to the hotel. We're very greatful for all the time we had at Milky!

I loved every day at the country inn milky house, Gurung San and Ram San are incredible and kind human beings, Niseko is a really nice and quiet place, tasks are easy and fun if you get along with the other volunteers, I loved to be with nick and carol from Brazil,
I’m happy to say that it felt like home and I surely have a new family here at Japan, hopefully, see you soon!
