This was my first experience volunteering and I couldn't have asked for a better introduction. Amazing accommodations, people, and fun activities. Our host Angelo made the transition effortless and made us feel comfortable immediately.

I planned to stay for three weeks but ended up extending – needless to say, I had a great time! As a first-time volunteer, I was nervous what to expect, but from day one, Angelo made me feel right at home. The villa quickly became a place full of laughter, delicious food, and an amazing sense of community. The work was diverse, and everyone could focus on what interested them most. I especially loved building a bamboo chair, with the carpenters guiding me and sharing their skills along the way. I'm grateful to have been part of eco village's mission and can't wait to return!

The eco village was my first volunteer experience, and without a doubt, it will always be the most special one. They all made me feel at home, and the place is truly amazing. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and Angelo is always ready to help with anything. The work environment is a lot of fun, and I honestly couldn't be more grateful to all of them. Without a doubt, I will return as soon as I can!

I had a great time at the eco village! As soon as I got there, I was very warmly welcomed and quickly felt like a part of the eco village family. Angelo really made this place feel like home! You work closely with the coordinators, other volunteers, and the Matigsalug tribespeople. Everybody at the farm was super supportive and helpful in implementing personal projects and learning about cooking, gardening and bamboo carpentry. At the same time, we worked on a communal project, redesigning a piece of land to create a sustainable permaculture garden. Can't wait to get back :)

I had a wonderful two weeks volunteering at the eco village! Helping with the Christmas party for the community was such a rewarding experience. I learned so much, from bamboo architecture to traditional coffee-making, and got to taste amazing local foods. Angelo, who took care of us, was an incredible host—super funny, friendly, and always there to help. He made sure we felt at home and taken care of. The staff and fellow volunteers were also amazing, and I made lasting friendships. A truly lovely and enriching experience overall!

I had the best time learning about bamboo and all the work the farm is doing for the community. It was inspiring and I recommend staying here! I got to help get ready for their community Christmas party where I was able to get to know other volunteers, staff, and others in the community. I also got to work on my own project idea to create a vertical garden using bamboo around the farm. I'm super grateful for this experience and Angelo. He was an excellent host and would love to someday go back.

Truly lovedmy stay at the eco village! I enjoyed meeting and interacting with the locals, the tribe and co-volunteers and immerse myself with the community's culture. It's fascinating to see the hosts' vision in transforming it to a sustainable land with bamboos and the bamboo structures/Architecture are really amazing! It was more fun as we had the opportunity to participate and help in their Christmas Party - especially playing with the kids. Got to work around with the staff and locals building and communicating with them in English - they are very interested and eager to learn. Tysm! 🫶🏽

Angelo is an amazing person and host. He welcomed us warmly and took great care of us during our stay in the eco village. I was part of the first batch of volunteers and had an incredible experience. I learned a lot about bamboo and even had the chance to help the boys in building the bamboo villas. The people from the tribe are wonderful—kind, warm, and welcoming. Every moment spent with them felt like a true blessing. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to escape the usual tourist spots and immerse themselves in a more raw and authentic local setting.

The eco village was my first volunteering experience with Worldpackers and I can honestly say I wish for everyone to have such a great first experience. You are really well taken care of, even with me being vegan they made sure I had food to eat. I'm honored I was able to be part of the team and immerse in local culture. Spend time with the kids, as well as learn stuff about bamboo and help around farm with some gardening . I only wish I could help out more with bamboo stuff, but Overall I'm really happy with the experience. Thank you again and see you soon hopefully!
