What you offer

5 hours of help per day, 5 days a week

Reception & Guest Interaction: Be the first point of contact! Help with check-ins and check-outs, answer questions, and make everyone feel welcome.
Cleaning: Help us maintain our high standards of cleanliness in the common areas, bathrooms, and dormitories. A clean space is a comfortable space!
Creating a Social Atmosphere: This is the fun part! Your positive energy is infectious. You'll naturally chat with guests, encourage interaction in our spacious common area, and perhaps even help organize an occasional group outing.
What you get

1 day off per week (2 days off total per week)
Shared Dorm: A comfortable bed in one of our dorms, featuring brand-new memory foam mattresses, privacy curtains, and a personal locker.
Meals Provided: Enjoy a free breakfast and lunch every day of your stay. (Kitchen access for your own evening meals)
Free Laundry: Keep your travel clothes fresh.
Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen to prepare your own delicious food.
Basic Internet Access: Stay connected.
Prime Location: Live just a 7-10 minute walk from Skanderbeg Square and Tirana's main attractions.
A True Home Base: Become part of a family and gain experience in hostel management from the ground up.
Requirements

Intermediate English
Over 18 years old
Friendly, proactive, and responsible attitude
Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)
What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation, and Visa.

🌟 Your Role at Alina Hostel 🌟

We're looking for a reliable and friendly volunteer to join our small team. Your primary focus will be on three key areas that keep our hostel running smoothly and joyfully:

đŸ› ïž What You'll Do

Welcome & Reception: Greet guests with a smile, manage check-ins/outs, and provide information about the hostel and Tirana.
Cleaning & Upkeep: Assist with daily cleaning routines to ensure our common areas, bathrooms, and dorms are tidy and hygienic for everyone.
Guest Engagement: Be a social catalyst! Hang out in the common area, share travel stories, and help create the friendly, inclusive atmosphere we're known for.
🕐 Your Schedule

Volunteers help for 5 hours a day, with 2 days off per week.
Shifts will be a mix of mornings, afternoons, or evenings, and we'll work with you to create a fair schedule in advance so you can plan your exploration of Albania!

To ensure everyone has a great experience, we have a few simple guidelines:

Punctuality & Communication: Please be on time for your shifts. If you're unwell or delayed, communicate with us ASAP. We value open and honest communication.

Lead by Example: As a volunteer, you represent Alina Hostel. We expect you to maintain a positive and respectful attitude with guests and team members at all times.

Take Pride in Your Space: Whether you're on shift or not, please help us keep the common areas, kitchen, and dorms tidy. Respect the property and your fellow travelers.

Be a Community Builder: Respect quiet hours, be considerate in shared spaces, and contribute to the warm and inclusive community we are building.

Zero Tolerance: We have a strict no-discrimination and no-harassment policy. Any inappropriate behavior will result in immediate dismissal.
