The staff was nice, and the tasks were easy. I learned everything from other volunteers, but when management was there the vibe felt a bit more serious. The schedule was 10am-2pm and no time off on weekends. The location is a bit far from the city center (as I thought it was the main station branch, but it wasn't). Breakfast was very basic (just toast, coffee, and tea) and there wasn't a social area so I never met anyone.

During this time, I was able to meet other travelers, get better at speaking/reading Mandarin, and just immerse myself more in the local culture. Location wise, it was close to a night market and lots of fun shops. The staff was accommodating and helpful when it came to answering any questions, and always made sure that I had a good experience. I'll miss this place !!

My experience was great! They teach you how to do the tasks, and once you get the hang of it, you can finish them really quickly. The whole hostel staff was super friendly and always answered my questions. The location is perfect — just a few minutes from a metro station and several bus stops, making it easy to get around Taipei and explore new places even on work days. I totally recommend it!

I liked it so much the first time, that I came back again. And as I said before, the location is very convenient, is close to everything by walking. This place really feels like home! Thank you for everything guys, Moi, Jacob, James, laoban, Dany, I'm going to miss you!

I arrived and was welcomed with open arms! Everyone was super helpful and taught how to do everything properly and didn't mind if I had questions. The work was fairly easy and we normally finished early! I would 100% come back again! thank you so much for the great experience!!

It was a very good experience! The place is very close to everything, the Taiwanese staff and owner are always very attentive. There's always fruit for breakfast. The tasks are really easy, and you finish early, so you can have the afternoon free to walk around and explore.

This was very much a work exchange rather than a get to know more about the culture and local people. I'm not entirely sure I even met the host! The work was fair, some days you would do 3 hours some 30-45 minutes. Tasks include changing bedsheets, cleaning toilets, mopping and hoovering and start at 10am each day. If you're happy to work for you accommodation and not have much of a culture experience this is the place for you! Can't really complain I was happy to crack on and make friends outside of the hostel as it also not a very social hostel! (You also cannot have weekend off just FYI)

Moi was a great manager and was very considerate! I had a good stay and met some wonderful other volunteers☺️ Sometimes the responsibility for the volunteers didn't seem clear to everyone working in the hostel, which can definitely be improved.
