From the very first day, I felt like a family member rather than just a volunteer. Ivan Patsy and everyone was incredibly welcoming and supportive and I created very special bonds with each and every person I met. The hostel itself is unique and full of character, u get the experience of a beautiful lake, tons of animals, plants and birds etc... The atmosphere is relaxed, authentic, and full of great energy with lots of downtime to yourself. The tasks were simple and I really enjoyed the time I spent helping out in the kitchen and experiencing real local culture! Gracias por todo✨💛

Me lo pasé muy bien como voluntaria en la reserva. El espacio es increíblemente hermoso y diseñado intencionalmente, y me sentí muy bienvenida y cómoda desde el primer día. El trabajo requerido es muy justo, las horas son flexibles, y disfruté pasando horas con la familia, cocinando, y aprendiendo sobre la comida y la cultura guatemalteca. Recomiendo esta experiencia a cualquiera que quiera reconectarse consigo mismo y con la hermosa naturaleza del lago y la selva.

I loved my time at the reserve. Ivan and Patsy were very welcoming and made me feel right at home. The work was spread throughout the day with lots of free time to enjoy the beautiful jungle hostel and clear blue lake. There was always a fun lighthearted energy making the work easier and more enjoyable. I would highly recommend if you're looking for a laidback jungle volunteering experience.
