L'expérience

Hi, I am a domestic teacher teaching English to children and young adults (some with learning difficulties, that need extra attention) in Galle, Sri lanka.
Our main goal is to help students to improve their English speaking, listening and written skills, whilst learning to work together and think outside the box.

Intermédiaire Anglais ou Débutant Cingalais

Entre 18 et 80 ans

Accueille les volontaires solo, les couples et les partenaires de volontaires

Être originaire d'un pays autre que Sri Lanka

Détails du programme

You will have a chance to help and work with some of the most kind children and students in the world.
An option to study for an online TEFL teaching qualification whilst gaining classroom experience.
A great opportunity for university students who want to gain classroom experience before starting their career or need a break away from their current job.
And on top of it all you'll get a real taste of daily life in a town close to the beach.

Activités et horaires

You will assist me on fixed days & hours in the classes. This will involve:

- supporting the local English trainee in creating lessons and improve her administrative computer skills which will be beneficial to him/her in their future studies or career.
- during class, you will support me with the children that need some extra help because of their learning difficulties
- you help me to make sure the kids come in and leave the premises safely (as mentioned some children are in need of extra assistance)
- this is a place where kids not only improve their English skills but also strengthen their social skills. This is why you will play a very important role as children love to hear your stories.
- please note that this is not a teaching position as you will mainly support and assist me. Together we can make sure the kids get the most out of their learning experience

We are looking for mature responsible people, not for children that we have to educate and teach how to behave!!!
