L'expérience

Our school Kitchen serves meals to children from low-income families, orphans, and families affected by poverty, HIV/AIDS, or displacement. For many of these children, the meal they receive here is the only one they can rely on each day. By volunteering with us, you'll help ensure that no child goes hungry and that families in crisis are supported with compassion and care.

Détails du programme

The School Kitchen Program at our organization is designed to provide nutritious meals to children attending our learning center and partner schools. Many of these children come from vulnerable backgrounds where food insecurity is common. The meals served at school not only nourish their bodies but also encourage regular attendance, boost concentration in class, and support their overall well-being.

Who we support

Children from low-income and food-insecure families
Orphans and vulnerable children enrolled in our education programs
Pupils who might otherwise attend school hungry or skip school due to lack of meals

Volunteer Role and Tasks
As a volunteer in our School Kitchen, you’ll join our local staff to prepare and serve meals to students during the school day. You do not need professional cooking experience—just a love for helping, a good attitude, and the willingness to work as part of a team.

Your tasks may include:
Washing and preparing vegetables and other food items
Cooking meals under the guidance of local cooks
Serving food to children during break or lunchtime
Washing dishes and maintaining a clean cooking and eating area
Helping with basic kitchen inventory or food storage
Supporting hygiene and food safety practices
Engaging with children during mealtime, offering encouragement and smiles
