This was such a wonderful experience! From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed and included in the household. As other volunteers have mentioned, the food was amazing, and they were always happy to accommodate any preferences or dietary needs. The work was very fair and rewarding, and the host is extremely patient and supportive. I also loved having their pup Lola around, she made the days even better with her cuddles and playful energy. I really appreciated the warm atmosphere and all the great conversations we shared throughout my stay.

Wow! What an amazing experience. I came to France not knowing anything about remodeling and construction, but the host was incredibly patient and taught me how to do all sorts of things! It was very good experience and he made everything look easy. Rosa is a angel and I wish nothing but the best for her, I only wish we could have spent more time together! The food the host made was always delicious and he made sure to take our preferences in mind when cooking. One of the best parts was their dog Lola. Truly the sweetest girl and I will miss her SO MUCH. Thanks for the awesome experience!

If I could describe this experience in one word: growth. My first volunteer was beyond my expectations. I spent six unforgettable weeks in Arles with the host: chill, welcoming, kind and make delicious meals with his touch. If you allow yourself to be open, you'll build a genuine connection. Im gonna miss the late-night talks about life, being true to yourself. His lovely dog Lolla is always ready for walks. The work can be hard sometimes, but it's rewarding. Swimming in the river just a few minutes away after work; that's life! Arles is stunning and looks like a movie scene.Thank u the host/Rosa!

I stayed at the host's place for 10 days. the host and Rosa are super nice, joyful. We had so many good meals, dancing, and singing together. The house has so many areas that need to be done, but we have our own room. You will enjoy the host's different meal every night or you can also show your culinary skills here. The town is quiet and beautiful, good for hiking. Only a few buses to Perpignan and it takes time. But the host will take us to the supermarket and another town nearby. Such a great experience here.

Unfortunately we missed the chance of leaving a review so this comment serves as that. First of all Leo is such a fun guy to be around, he is energetic and he cooks delicious Asian food. He is very easy going and has a big heart. As for work he always did and went beyond what was asked of him. Thanks for being with us Leo!

My time with the host was truly incredible. He was so welcoming and we had many interesting conversations. The work as well was fun and especially a great learning opportunity, sometimes it was a bit hard for me as I am not very strong but the host was sure to help and always always looked out for the safety of the volunteers. Additionally, Arles sur Tech is a beautiful area and it is great for those who love nature. I loved swimming in the river and just walking around.

I had a great time with the host in Arles-sur-Tech! The town is small, so my days were filled with taking Lola, his dog, on walks in the mountains or being by the river. It was a great time filled with relaxation and wonderful conversations with the people he fills his life with. The work was extremely fair, and the food he makes was always delicious!!

The host was an incredible host, always generous and the best chef. I had my own private room and the food was very good. As for Arles-sur-Tech, it is a small and very quiet town with different hiking areas around. The work is a bit demanding and requires effort, but we almost always worked fewer hours than agreed, and you can take breaks whenever you need during working hours. It is a very beautiful place in France. Thank you, the host!

I'm really happy about this experience! I felt comfortable from the very beginning of my stay and it was lovely to get to know the host, his dog Lola and friend Rob. the host always makes sure everything is okay and checks if you need anything. He's really thoughtful, and I'm grateful for our conversations. I learned a lot and gained a better perspective on things. The nature and the village around are beautiful, with lots of nice places to visit. The work was totally fine, nothing too hard, and the host is always ready to help if you need anything. I can only recommend!! 🫶

This was my first worldpackers experience and it set the bar very high! the host shows true care and compassion towards his volunteers. it is not just a work exchange, a true community relationship is built. i was not expecting to feel so welcomed and at home in a small, south of france village. as for the work, the host plays to the strengths of each volunteer, will switch up the work to keep it from getting to repetitive and will teach you a few new skills along the way. the project is very cool and he is very open to design input on the house!

The host is a very generous man. He took us to get the food we wanted to eat and some days even got to end early which was really nice:) He will have very nice conversations with you. I stayed at a very hot time in the year so be wary of that mixed with the construction work. The work is not difficult, but construction is construction. There is not much to do in Arles-Sur-Tech, but there is nature and the town has a few music events throughout the week. You can also take weekend trips to Spain or maybe Toulouse or visit the nearby towns via bus. There is also an AMAZING fig tree here!
