L'expérience

During your stay you can help our students to create some handicrafts, teaching to sing, draw or paint while you promote students the use of English during the activity. You can help students to learn some vocabulary or grammar during the activity. If you paint, you can help us to create a wall unit where we can evidence the experience that our volunteers have here.

Détails du programme

As a volunteer, your main activity will be helping students develop their English skills every Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The rest of the time in the classroom, you’ll be meeting and knowing our students in one-on-one conversations, giving them the opportunity to practice English while you share your knowledge about the language and experiences. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore the culture of Ecuador and discover the fascinating history of Latacunga city, while visiting local landmarks and participating in events with students and teachers according to the activities planned. This is a unique chance to connect with the local community, enhance your language skills, nurturing our students' talents, and experience the warmth and culture of Ecuador.

Activités et horaires

What we offer you is your full accommodation in our institute where you can have your private room and bathroom. That includes the bed linen, toilet paper, hot water. Also, we provide Wi-Fi connection, a place where you can wash your clothes by hand and a place where you can dry them. We have a nice rooftop where you can observe the whole city and two volcanos when it is not cloudy. We will pay you 5 dollars each day worked to cover the two meals offered as we do not have a person who can prepare meals. That amount of money we will pay you the last day you work. You can use the shared- kitchen to prepare your own food if you want.

Règles

Keep the kitchen and common areas cleaned. We have a schedule for using the kitchen as the auditorium is in front of it, so we can use the kitchen until 9 in the morning and after 6:30 in the afternoon. Keep the main door closed when there is nobody from the staff.
