L'expérience

We are a small hostel in central Berlin (Moabit) and have volunteering options during summer for our small coffee / ice cream shop and hostel.

We are selling one of Berlins most popular Gelatos (proper italian style), which is hyped by locals, international expats and inhouse guests.

Tasks:
Reception Check-in / Check-out
Making coffee / Iced specialties
Serving ice cream
Help with cleaning

28 heures d'aide par semaine

Aide en cuisine: Aider à préparer, finaliser et servir les repas.

Service de bar: Préparer et servir des boissons et aider à maintenir l'inventaire des boissons.

2 jours de congé par semaine

Chambre privée: Vous aurez un lit dans une chambre privée. En d'autres termes, une chambre rien que pour vous.

Accès Internet Rapide: Internet haut débit pour travailler à distance

Intermédiaire Anglais

Plus de 20 ans

Accueille uniquement les volontaires solo (n'accepte pas les couples ou partenaires)

Détails du programme

In exchange for your help, you can stay in a small single room with a shared bathroom on the hallway.
Please take a look at the picture provided.
The hostel is a small place, just as a sleeping space for tourists.
Please be aware that we do not have a kitchen and the shared spaces (backyard, lobby = common area) close at 6 pm.
After that, only the room is accessible.
As there are no meals / kitchen provided, we will contribute with some food money during your time with us.

Activités et horaires

The shifts are mainly from 8am until 6pm and will be including weekends.

In regards to the coffee / Ice cream shop these are the main points:

Keeping the area clean and tidy
Restocking ice cream / materials
Preparing coffee / tea / iced specialties (no table service)
Serving ice cream
Processing guests orders / payments through our POS system (Sumup)

It is not a big space and just a one counter sales point.


Regarding the hostel:
- Keeping the area clean and tidy
- Check-in / Check-out
- Answering guests questions/ recommending places
- Write cleaning plan
- Sometimes helping the cleaning team.

Règles

Just to keep up with the scheduled hours, maintain friendliness with the guests.
For the inhouse stay, we ask to respect that there is no smoking indoors and no outside guests allowed.
