Omg where do i start! i loved being in Flores, and volunteering at the hostel. Nelson is so genuine, helpful, understanding, and relatable. Whenever i had to talk or laugh, he's always there to listen. The other employees, Dennilson, Mauricio, and Allison, they were amazing! from us teaching each other our native language to our inside jokes? i enjoyed all of it. And Queen Nieve? love her lol. Lastly, my experience wouldn't be the way it was without my girlies, Laia and Alice! I wouldn't change a thing. it. From our family dinners to our dance sessions? the hostel will always have my heart :)

My experience at the hostel was absolutely amazing!! I had the best time there and met and volunteered alongside the most amazing people. Nelson was incredibly welcoming from the start and flexible and so were Denilson and Allison. Everyone was super helpful and friendly and it honestly felt like home. The other volunteers also made my time there. Would honestly return in a heartbeat and was super sad to leave.

I loved working at the hostel — it truly felt like home. Nelson, the manager, is the best! He creates an atmosphere where you feel welcomed and free at the same time. Teaching small groups was such a rewarding experience, and I absolutely loved the hostel vibe — swimming in the lake, walking everywhere, and just soaking in the energy of the place. I really hope I can come back someday. It was an unforgettable time. 🌞💧🏡✨

Wow! After arriving it literally just took me a few days till I felt home. Everyone in this hostel is a total gem and they will make you feel super welcome. I was lucky to be there at the same time as other volunteers and Nelson really did manage for us to enjoy our time there! He and the others are so kind hearted, I will miss it so much and I are am planning on going back for a visit! Tasks are easy and you can choose your free days super freely when communicating it. Flores can be a really chill spot but we did use the weekends a lot to go out and about. Muchas Gracias!!! Stay chilero! <3

I am overwhelmed with gratitude that the hostel was my first volunteering experience with World Packers! Everything went perfectly smooth and even added bonuses, like breakfast! Nelson, Allison, and Dennison were incredible: warm, welcoming, generous, and genuinely kind. I felt at home and truly cared for. Nieve is the cutest, feistiest little kitty and I love her!! The volunteer quarters are super cozy. It feels like a secret hideout or camp! The other World Packer volunteers, Greta and Zita, were the cherry on top of such a beautiful experience. The island of Flores is adorable!

Fue mi primera experiencia en voluntariado con la plataforma ¡y definitivamente no pude tener más suerte! el hostel es como una segunda casa, hermoso,lleno de naturaleza, tranquilo y con una vibra increible. Lo mejor de mi experiencia fue conectar con un host como Nelson, lleno calidad humana, amabilidad y buena actitud. Adicionalmente el y su equipo fueron muy amables y receptivos en el momento de organizar los horarios, dias de descanso y tareas diarias, las cuales son muy sencillas en realidad :) Super recomendado el voluntariado ¡Los voy a extrañar un montón! incluyendo a la reina Nieve.

I spent 3 weeks in the hostel and I would come back happily - and there's honestly not a better compliment. I really liked the tasks as I could take it all slow. It's mainly staying at the reception for the check-ins, sometimes making some beds and watering plants but it's very easy because the hostel is tiny (but beautiful!). The staff (Nelson and Dennilson) is AWESOME: they are both really respectful, helpful and chill people, and that really just adds up to the whole experience. If you're hesitating whether to apply, don't think twice — do yourself a favor and go for it :)!

The hostel was my home for a week. From day one Nelson was super welcoming and showed me around. He didn't overwhelm me with info and gave me the day off. Next day I met Dennilson a kind, patient and respectful guy. Tasks were easy and fun, like making snack boxes (my fav!). I loved the hostel, me encantó 'cause it's clean, full of good vibes, nature all around and close to everything. I disconnected from the city and Nieve is a plus. Thank you, Nelson, for letting me stay there for a week and giving me more than I expected. I had fun, and for sure I'll come back in the near future :) wuuuh!

My experience in the hostel was amazing. Nelson is a great host. You can see the effort he's putting every day in the hostel. Always building, renovating, decorating, planting. The place is really cute with many cute spots to chill under the trees or in a hammock. Nelson is how I would imagine a good host to be like, communication was good, smooth, and easy. Tasks and working hours were always discussed in advance and were exactly as explained. Flores is a really small place with not much to do there except the hostel and some adventures nearby, but that's a great chance to relax and ease.

Things i loved about the hostel - the outdoor shower - the hammoks - the swing - the beautiful garden ( spent most days looking for a new place to lay down) things i disliked about flores - the heat in march was intense Nelson and Dennlison were lovely <3 would recommend
