L'expérience

We need lots of help with so many animals to care for. Our volunteers are invaluable. If you want to have a deeper understanding of animals and their welfare, why not think about volunteering with us? Some of it is mucky work, we won't lie to you! But it's amazing what you discover about your own capabilities, plus you get to help with the rehabilitation and trust building of animals that come from backgrounds of abuse, neglect or slaughter.

Ce que vous recevez

1 jour de congé par semaine

Chambre privée: Vous aurez un lit dans une chambre privée. En d'autres termes, une chambre rien que pour vous.

Petit-déjeuner: Vous avez droit à un petit-déjeuner gratuit, tous les jours de votre séjour.

Déjeuner: Vous avez droit à un déjeuner gratuit, tous les jours de votre séjour.

Dîner: Vous avez droit à un dîner gratuit, tous les jours de votre séjour.

Laverie Gratuite: Vous pouvez utiliser notre buanderie librement.

Visites gratuites: Nous vous emmènerons faire des visites et des balades en ville. Gratuitement !

Utilisez notre cuisine équipée: N'hésitez pas à utiliser notre cuisine et préparer vos propres délicieux repas.

Détails du programme

Each and every day of the week the animals need care, feeding, cleaning of their housing and routine animal husbandry practices.

Tasks can include:
feeding animals,
moving the chickens from the night coop to the day coop and cleaning their bedding and coops, as well as picking up camel and donkey poo,
animal enrichment,
house cleaning,
gardening,
shopping,
cooking,
painting the decking,
removing or fixing fencing,
weed eradication,
piling up fallen branches for fires,
raking hay,
and more.

Of course, you're sure to get some sneaky cuddles and meet the animals as well.

Also my dogs live indoors and they are big and totally mythical, truly gentle giants.

Activités et horaires

Preference is for a 3 week minimal length of stay for volunteers.

Whilst some outdoor tasks are not glamorous and are often arduous and dirty, they greatly assist in keeping our many resident rescue animals safe, happy and healthy.

There are two rooms: a Single bedroom and double bedroom and shared meals. It is a vegan household.

What we do promise is lots of laughter and the opportunity to meet people who share your love of animals. We embrace community at Galahad's Animal Sanctuary.

Of course, you're sure to get some sneaky cuddles and meet the animals as well.

Règles

I need help daily in feeding and looking after the animals. The shifts are mainly in the morning and evening with feeds for 1 hour each. There is also sometimes extra help required as needed or with cooking meals, cleaning the B&B once a week and cleaning the house and gardening. If you want to travel or go somewhere just let me know and we can work around the schedule. It can be flexible.
