Description: Volunteers contribute $20 per day to our organization that go directly into our social funds for women at our not-for-profit organization

The Cultural Immersion & Exchange Program is an initiative by Catalyst for Change Vietnam that connects you with local host families across Vietnam and experience the heart of Vietnamese culture firsthand.

As a volunteer, you’ll not only immerse yourself in authentic Vietnamese life but also make a meaningful impact by assisting host families with tasks that match your skills. For just $140 per week, you get free meals and accommodation and directly supports women-led initiatives that empower local communities. The funds generated help strengthen economic independence and promote social change, making your experience even more rewarding.

Activités et horaires

For minimum 2 hours per day, you help the host family with any tasks requested, for example practicing English with their children, household chores, gardening, or cooking traditional meals.

Règles

Dress Modestly: Avoid wearing revealing clothing, especially when you are in family settings or public areas.
Respect Family Schedules: Be mindful of family routines, especially meal times and sleeping hours.
Keep Your Space Clean: Maintain cleanliness in your room and shared spaces.
No Late-Night Outings Without Notice: Inform your host family if you plan to stay out late or return late at night.
Respect for Children: Be mindful of your language, behavior, and tone around children in the house.
No Alcohol or Smoking in the House: Unless explicitly allowed by the host family.
Engage with the Family: Take part in meals or activities when invited, as it’s a sign of respect and interest in their culture. Communicate early on about your dietary needs.
Stay Safe: Be aware of your surroundings, avoid risky activities, and always communicate with your host if you need help.
