For two weeks, I was fortunate enough to volunteer in Morocco, staying at Karin's home, a truly incredible and wonderful person. From the very beginning, her enthusiasm for the project was contagious and became a key factor in making me feel part of the family. Her closeness and warmth created an atmosphere of trust and support that made every day meaningful. The volunteer experience was very well organized. The distribution of tasks was equitable, and the work hours were perfectly balanced with moments of rest and reflection. The intensity of the project felt just right

I really liked Karrim, the host as well as the other volunteers. Everyone was very kind and welcoming to me The work itself, however, wasn't a good fit for me My hands were very sensitive to the mud and became very dry and chapped, even with wearing gloves. I was also having trouble sleeping on the ground on the mats provided at the project. Karrim tried to remedy the problem by providing a thicker mattress but I decided to accept another work exchange teaching English as a second language and leave earlier then scheduled. I'm still glad I came.
