Activités et horaires

Meal times are important moments in the cultural life of the farm and an opportunity for good conversation and conviviality, as well as practical daily planning and communication. Food is of central importance in Italian culture and we hope you will learn to appreciate and enjoy the Italian “tavolata”.

Guests are expected to help with the household chores - preparing meals, food conservation, clearing up, keeping common areas clean & tidy. There is a rota system to ensure domestic chores are equally shared. Aiming for self-sufficiency involves learning how to make many of the things we usually buy. Preparing a meal is not limited to cooking but also involves food processing and conservation (jams, pickling, drying, yoghurt, breads, biscuits, etc).
