Every child deserves the gift of education.

Although many of our children live in very difficult conditions, they still need better education to transform their lives and build a well-educated community.

Détails du programme

Volunteer Program Description

We are a fully registered NGO offering internships for university students, volunteering opportunities, and authentic local life experiences. We warmly welcome people from around the world to join us and feel safe and at home.

Our organization is based in Chamazi, a peaceful village in the southern part of Dar es Salaam, just one hour from the airport, city center, and the eastern beach zone. The people of Chamazi are very friendly and welcoming. They love to share their culture and traditions with visitors, giving volunteers a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in local life.

We run a school that provides education for children from low-income families. Both local teachers and international volunteers are involved in teaching, playing, and supporting these children, sharing love and hope for their brighter future.

We work with children aged 3 to 14 years old through different learning programs:

1. Kindergarten Program (ages 3–6):
Volunteers assist local teachers with early childhood education. Children attend school from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, but volunteers support teaching activities for 3 hours daily (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM), Monday to Friday.

2. Extra Lessons Program (ages 7–14):
Older children attend public primary schools but come to us for additional support in English and Mathematics. Volunteers help with these classes from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday (2 hours daily).

Volunteers not only help children learn but also become part of our community—sharing culture, building friendships, and making a lasting impact

Activités et horaires

Volunteer Experience

Volunteers work 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday (5 days per week). During your time with us, you will assist our local teachers in teaching and supporting the children.

You will follow the guidance of our teachers as you participate in the program. At the same time, we encourage our volunteers to have fun with the children, share love, and build meaningful connections. Our children are very friendly, eager to learn, and full of joy—they will welcome you with smiles from the very first day and create unforgettable memories with you.

Beyond volunteering, you will also experience the beauty of local life in our village. Chamazi is a place where you can see and feel the real Tanzanian way of living. You will have the chance to:

Explore the village and meet friendly local people.

Use local transportation and visit community markets.

Shop for ingredients and prepare traditional meals.

Learn and practice basic Swahili with locals.

Play or exercise at the community football ground.

Enjoy music and entertainment at local pubs.

Take part in cultural activities that will make your stay truly unforgettable.

Volunteering with us is not just about teaching—it’s about cultural exchange, building friendships, and experiencing Tanzania in the most authentic way.
