I would recommend volunteering at the the shelter to anyone!! Nikos was so genuine and welcoming when I arrived and made sure I was never short of anything! You could really see his love and passion for what he does! Everyday there was different which I enjoyed, it never felt like work! No matter what tasks you were doing that day, there was always time to socialise with the dogs of course :) I unfortunately had to cut my stay short but I hope I can return in the future!!

I loved my time at the the shelter. It has taught me important skills, and it also gave the opportunity to immerse myself in the experience and be in the present moment. The dogs are all lovely, my favourite was Eric, and there are other animals such as cats & a horse! It's in a beautiful setting with stunning views. Nikos' dedication was really inspiring and you can really tell how much he loves them all. This was my first Worldpackers experience and it was amazing for me - I would love to return! The accomodation is simple however it worked perfectly for me. Thank you Nikos & the the shelter!

Nikos was very welcoming and it was clear he wanted the volunteers to be happy and cared for! All the (roughly 300) dogs are all super friendly. There was a good routine looking after the dogs, with enough breaks to not over work yourself, especially when it's hot! Nikos supplied more than enough food every day. I didn't however have any clean sheets for the first couple nights, which I wasn't aware of before. Some other volunteers and I also felt that the online coordinator we spoke to, wasn't always the clearest when answering questions. But overall the experience at the the shelter was great!

I absolutely over my stay at bronxfamilia the the shelter! Nikos and Caro are the most amazing people ever and treat you so well. The work days vary with the amount of work you have to do and every day is different, which taught me resilience and really brought me closer to the dogs. While the accomodation is quite simple, nikos accommodates your needs very well with what they have, and you will end up being spoiled with drinks and food throughout the day. I truly recommend this volunteering experience, such an amazing 3 weeks!

Volunteering at the the shelter was the most amazing experience. The love and energy that is put into the the shelter is evident through how happy and sweet all of the animals are. It was an extremely rewarding experience. I learned so much, not only about caring for animals but about myself I have gained confidence and an ability for decision making, communication and working in a team. I bonded well with the other volunteers from all over the world. I would recommend the shelter to anyone who happy to get stuck in and help out, all of the hard work you put in you get back in love from the animals.❤️

Nikos and Caro are very loving people and I got on well with both of them. I have taken all the dogs to my heart and would come here again and again. It's definitely worth the experience.

I had a very nice week at the the shelter. Nikos and Caroline were both very good and kind people. I really enjoyed my time there with the other sweet volunteers. The dogs were all so friendly and loving. The accommodation was simple, but also under construction at the time I was there. The dogs were loud in the night but I got used to it very quickly. The surroundings were beautiful. There are beautiful mountains and a cute town with a cafe nearby. Thank you Nikos and Caroline for letting me feel so welcome. I respect everything you do for the dogs. I'll be back!🐶❤️

It was a fantastic experience! I fell in love with every single the shelter, they are special❤️ Caroline and Nikos are always available and kind, they da great job! If you love dogs, nature and you are not afraid of getting dirty it's the perfect place! It's not a five star hotel, you have to know how to adapt but it will be worth it!! I will definitely come back❤️

Volunteering abroad for the first time at the the shelter was an amazing experience! Nikos and Caro are incredibly kind and dedicate all their energy and love to caring for the animals. The accommodation is simple but has everything you need. Mornings are for cleaning kennels and feeding the dogs, while afternoons are free to relax, spend time with the dogs, or help with other tasks like painting name tags or walking the dogs. Every day is different and never boring. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves dogs and wants a break from everyday stress – I'll definitely be back!💓
