We’re looking for a passionate volunteer to help manage the social media presence of our animal rescue center. I’m a web designer and have usually managed our social media myself, so I’m quite particular about ensuring our message comes across with the right tone and quality. However, with so many responsibilities at the rescue, I don’t have the time to dedicate to this as fully as I’d like.

About the Role:

This volunteer position involves creating and sharing meaningful content that highlights our mission, our animals, and our ongoing projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in video creation, storytelling, and social media management. We’re especially looking for someone who can support our fundraising goals by designing effective online campaigns across platforms. This role is remote, so while you won’t need to be on-site, you should be comfortable working independently and aligning with our vision.

Develop and manage engaging social media content (especially videos) to communicate our mission
Create and execute online fundraising campaigns to help raise vital funds for the rescue
Work closely with me to ensure the message, tone, and quality align with our rescue’s values
Occasionally research and suggest new platforms or campaign ideas that might expand our reach
