I highly recommend volunteering here! Boyd and Valene are super cool, nice people and also great cooks, the farm is very peaceful with such an amazing vibe. Everything is upfront and exactly what the posting said it would be. I learnt new skills and made new friends, there's also so much to do on the island and a short walk from the beach. Really had a great time and will be back one day!

My experience volunteering with Boyd and his family was amazing! They're super kind and welcoming. The place is surrounded by beautiful nature. It's peaceful and full of good energy. The work was fair and the food was honestly delicious! I learned a lot during my stay and couldn't be happier that this was my first volunteering experience.💚

Staying with Boyd and his family was definitely one of the best experiences I had volunteering! The place is especial and surrounded by nature, is peaceful and beautiful! They all made me feel like I'm home, they are very kind people. The room is great and the food is always delicious. I will miss waking up with this view and having this energy around. Grateful for my time here!

The best first experience from wordlpackers. The atmosphere, place, people. Whole experience is beyond words. Lots of laughter, travel knowledge, insights about the world, and delicious food. If you want, you can learn a lot and take something meaningful for yourself—but it all depends on you. You can meet fellow travelers and build amazing connections. And the family itself makes you feel like part of a team, where your presence truly matters.

Boyd and his Mother are really friendly and welcoming! We had a fun time with various tasks such as clearing weeds and helping build the bungalows. We appreciated that you could manage your time very freely. They cooked amazing food and really let us in to their home!

We had a great time! Boyd and his mother are super nice people that made us feel welcomed. They also cooked amazing food. We helped with renovating bungalows, making a pool inside of a cave and some weeding and planting.

I had the best of time with Boyd and Valene Boyd is always up for a new challenge and super motivated to make their project grow ! We had some fun time thinking and making lots of projects happening! Boyd and his mom were the most heart warming lovely host and I will without doubt visit them again ! Special mention for the extraordinary Cooking and the teepee tent with view , despite the work I could rest and be in peace and this is priceless 💓 Thank you for everything !

The experience in Madeira was good. The weather is very pleasant and the island is very touristy, so there's a lot to do. As for the tasks, they're mainly construction, as it involves renovating two bungalows and we also did some planting. The schedule and days off are flexible. The food is delicious and varied, Boyd and Valene are great cooks. Valene, Boyd's mother, is very kind, loving, and approachable. Overall, it was a good experience. Thank you for everything Boyd!

I really enjoyed this experience, if you are looking to escape the routine, enjoy landscapes and exchange some of your construction and gardening skills. This is a perfect destination, Boyd and his mother Valene welcomed us like family and for that I want to thank them for all affection. I'm going to start 2025 with new energy and a lot of motivation!

The farm was the best volunteering experience I've ever had! The tasks are very diverse, we did a bit of everything: gardening, construction, painting. It was enriching to learn new skills. The schedules are respected and Boyd and his beloved mother Valene are wonderful people, polite, respectful, flexible, positive and calm minded. This made the experience pleasant. We had plenty of food and we could cook whenever we wanted. Boyd always gave us lots of tips on what to do on the island. The landscape is incredible and the place is great for connecting with nature. Thank you for everything!
