Being in Loreto and having the opportunity to learn about the transformative work that riverside communities in the Peruvian Amazon are doing to raise and preserve bees was a very enriching experience. We visited communities in Maniti and were able to experience their daily lives and how the project has a significant impact on the preservation and restoration of the forest through environmental awareness. Adriano is very flexible and the project has immense growth potential because there is still much work ahead! I learned a lot from everyone I met, I highly recommend it!

Great opportunity to contribute to an exciting, interesting project, supporting local communities and promoting biodiversity to safeguard the rainforest! Highlight was def visiting participating communities and learning about native bees. Note, you will likely support with presenting/selling products to tourist groups. Be flexible, patient - things may seem haphazard at times but that's part of the reality / challenge of working in a region with limited transport infrastructure, communication, electricity etc. Host is very welcoming, kind and passionate about the project - thanks gain Adriano!

If you're keen to get your hands dirty and work in nature, this project is perfect for you! Don't expect a hotel, but we were able to sleep and live right in nature. The work in the communities is particularly exciting; that was the absolute highlight for us.

Mi experiencia en el proyeto ha sido enriquecedora. Aprendí muchísimo sobre el fascinante mundo de las abejas, su papel clave en la polinización, así como el impacto positivo que este proyecto tiene en las comunidades del lugar. Ha sido toda una aventura, pero sin duda muy gratificante. Me permitió conocer de primera mano la vida en estas comunidades, convivir con ellas y reconectar con el AHORA y la naturaleza de una forma muy especial. ÁNIMO a la gente a que se sume a este tipo de iniciativas.

Really nice experience! Tasks are easy, not very time consuming. Adriano is really nice and flexible. You also have to be flexible on the schedule because he depends on many other people, so things may not always go as planned. Adriano offered 2 options for accomodation, one is a hostel and the other is in the land, so you can sleep in a piece of jungle if you are adventurous:) the nature is amazing, learning about beekeeping is also really interesting. You can choose to help with various tasks. Adriano speaks english well but other people don't, so I recommend you to pick up some spanish:)

Un voluntariado increíble por el proyecto que lleva a cabo. Aprendimos mucho de abejas, y pudimos ir a una comunidad campesina a trabajar con la gente local. Sin embargo, me hubiera gustado trabajar más con las abejas y comunidades. Las últimas semanas, debido a circunstancias particulares, estuvimos encargándonos exclusivamente de hacer tours y venderle mieles a grupos de turistas. Los horarios fueron bastante inestables y a veces hasta ultima hora no conocíamos bien las tareas. No obstante creo que fue circunstancial, y el proyecto es muy interesante.
